Be kind, not nice.

Being kind means taking courageous, honest action for someone’s long-term growth, while being nice simply means performing polite behaviors to keep things comfortable and avoid conflict.

Dear @jayhoovy and @simonsquibb,
I went back and forth about adding in the video my adversities. Adding in how I was bullied, or how I stayed out of a car or friends spare bedrooms, but I realized…. This mission has nothing to do with me.
The world feels heavier these days—too many people doubting their potential, waiting for permission to chase what lights them up. I see the spark in the people I love and want so badly for them to see it too. I can’t do this alone… but together, we can change it.
That’s why I built FITVENGERS and MEALVSLIFT : a community of superheroes unlocking physical potential, building unbreakable self-efficacy, and guiding people toward roles & passions that truly fit them. We educate systematically, progress goals step-by-step, create comics with local artists, run immersive workshops, and develop kids through Kidvengers. The systems work—we’re already transforming lives, but I’ve been surviving, not thriving: pouring every cent back in, no loans, personal income under $20k/year for 4 years, working IN the business instead of ON it.
Winning the Dare to Dream 2026 would take a huge boulder off my shoulders: scale sustainably, protect our space (balloon payment due Dec 2027, eminent domain looming… I have to get my numbers to secure a loan), and build long-term impact.
Here’s how I’d invest the ~$100k:
• $5k: Stage design immersive superhero workshops & Natalia’s ZUMBA
• Carmen (onboarding assistant)
• Hire local theatre arts collaborators
• Kitchen help (so I can breathe)
• Ramp up app development (AI automating our proven manual systems)
• Interns via Innovation DuPage for marketing
• More Kidvengers development with Patty & Mija
• Workspace support for my mom
• Ricky for content creation
• Cleaning
• Build runway to refinance/secure our building & scale the mission
• Save some money for the property.

Y'all ever read "high of 55 and sunny" so you tell yourself to tough it out for a few hours without a jacket but then it's 9AM, 34 degrees, and the sun is late for work? Me neither.

Either following every minute detail of the instructions or acting like there were no instructions at all.

I posted a photo and got "what's up with that vein on your forehead" and y'all I don't really know but I'm pretty certain I need it to survive so everybody just relax 🤣
