Very excited to welcome Cuban pianist Jorge Luis Pacheco to Berklee College of Music on October 1, presented and hosted by the Berklee Piano Department. 🎹🇨🇺

Creating opportunities for our piano students to engage directly with distinctive artistic voices is at the heart of this visit. Pacheco brings an extraordinary command of groove, rhythm, harmony, and improvisation, rooted in Afro-Cuban traditions and extending across jazz and contemporary music.

The day begins with a 1:00 PM concert at Berk Recital Hall (1A), followed at 7:00 PM in 4Z3 by an interactive master class presented by the Piano Club, where Pacheco will work directly with students through performance, demonstration, feedback, and conversation.

I’m delighted to host Pacheco’s visit as part of the Berklee Piano Department and to help bring this experience to our students and broader community.

We’re officially one week away from the release of my EP “Because of Hope”⭐️

I tried to talk myself out of releasing this project so many times. It didn’t work tho lol. This project is about living fearlessly, authentically and for yourself. Not sharing the music that has been saving my life for the past few months now, just didn’t feel right. These are lyrics you can recite to yourself when you’re feeling discouraged and melodies you can hum to calm those chaotic thoughts. Because of Hope. Friday, 9/25, 12AM.
