12 Ottobre: Oggi è il Columbus Day
🚢🇮🇹

Sulmona may look like another beautiful medieval city in Abruzzo, but it has one very sweet claim to fame: confetti. 🇮🇹

These sugar-coated almonds have been made here for centuries and are part of so many Italian celebrations, from weddings and baptisms to communions, graduations and everything in between.

But in Sulmona, they’re more than candy. They’re turned into flowers, bouquets and elaborate little works of art.

A little history, a little beauty and obviously, something to eat. My kind of Italian tradition.
