I’m so very privileged to say that my time in Arendelle has brought me so much light and joy! Frozen is a story that is universally beloved, and it has been an honor getting to bring Elsa to life in the same place that I began my upstate career. Both the rehearsal room and performances of this show were filled with smiles in a way that continues to prove to me that I am exactly where I’m meant to be. People felt love. They felt magic. I saw beautiful little eyes light up with the spark of a new passion. You never forget the show that made you fall in love with theatre, and it means so much to me to be that memory for future artists. I will also treasure the opportunity to work with so many talented young performers in the cast; I remember when I was them, and being the girl that I once would’ve looked up to has been such a special thing! I know that I’m a person who exists very fully in myself, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of, but I wasn’t always that girl. When I was little I could be quite shy and anxious. I didn’t always stand out in groups. I wasn’t always certain of myself, and stepping into the story of Elsa reminded me of her. Elsa’s journey is one of exceptional growth and self acceptance that every child, and many adults, yearn to emulate. My favorite moment in the show was in the finale as I stood across from the darling actress playing my younger self singing about casting out dark and fear to fill the world with light and love. That image is the message and heart of Frozen! My dearest Queen Elsa, your decision to let it go and to reject fear is inspiring. Girls can do anything and your example in stepping into your power has such an important and lasting impact! I’m proud to be a part of that impact. I’m proud to have been a part of the magic. You’re honest and take responsibility for your mistakes. You are strong, steadfast, fierce, loving, loyal, brave, caring, and the truest of sisters. Most of all, you’re free!

Frozen.

I honestly don’t know how to begin to say what this show means to me. Olaf has been my dream role since like… forever? I’m so happy that this year has been the year of Frozen for me and I was able to help tell this amazing story THREE TIMES in one year.

This cast has meant so much to me. This has been my favorite process of a show ever. They all were so genuinely kind and I miss every single one of them every day.

OH AND we set the record for most people in the park EVER for our saturday show! Yay us!

So thankful for @jnoahtaylor @itscarltay and all of those @themarketanderson for giving me this opportunity. Park shows are a once in a lifetime kinda thing and I’m so happy that Frozen in the park happened for me.

Oh and P.S. before I forget. Take lessons with @elust at @madeforthestagesc I would not have been vocally prepared for this show without her. Thank you Erica so much!

to tell a story like this in a time and place like this is both an honor and a responsibility. every time i spoke or sang bella’s words, it was for the 1 in 4 women. it was for every resilient individual who has lived her experience. no matter who you are or what you have had to overcome, you, like bella, are not defined by it. i see you and i believe you and you deserve to be heard.
