⚡️It's Magic⚡️

I had the honor of capturing photos at the grand opening of
the new TIRC Technology Center on the campus of LeMoyne-Owen College right here in Memphis, TN! 📸💻✨

This new space gives the amazing staff and students of LOC another place to create, innovate, learn, and make MAGIC! 🪄

Memphis, we have to continue showing up and supporting our local HBCU and projects like this that invest directly into the future of our young people. The work being done today is helping prepare the next generation to lead, create, and take technology to a whole new level!

Congratulations to LeMoyne-Owen College and everyone who helped bring the TIRC Center to life. The future is being built right here in Memphis! 💜🪄🎩

Today, our Wynners Academy students had the opportunity to hear from Mrs. Brittany Morrow, Director of the T.I.R.C. Center (Technology, Innovation, & Research Center) at LeMoyne Owen College.

Mrs. Morrow shared her professional journey and provided valuable insight into how technology impacts nearly every career field. Students learned that regardless of whether they pursue careers in Human Resources, Legal Services, Banking, Accounting, Marketing, Healthcare, or Business Operations, technology plays a critical role in the work they will do every day.

Students also explored technology career pathways, industry certifications, and practical ways to begin developing in demand skills while still in high school. Mrs. Morrow highlighted that technology is integrated into every profession and that earning certifications can help students gain valuable skills, strengthen their resumes, and create additional career opportunities.

At Wynners Academy, we believe exposure leads to opportunity. Connecting students with professionals like Mrs. Morrow helps them better understand the education, certifications, and experiences needed to reach their goals while exposing them to careers they may not have previously considered.

Thank you, Mrs. Brittany Morrow and LeMoyne Owen College, for investing in our students and helping them see the many possibilities available through technology, innovation, and lifelong learning.

In Deltaland, I’ll forever be known as “Red Eye” 🥰♥️

This journey would not be what it is without my village. Grateful to my family for the encouragement and providing the blueprint of service and community, and to my chosen family for strengthening that foundation.

To the incredible A.L.C.H.E.M.I.C 79 that I am so fortunate to have crossed the burning sands with: What a blessing it was to experience this with you. With each passing day, I grew more enamored with who we became together. The laughter, the thoughtful execution, the impeccable creativity, and the unwavering commitment you each brought made this journey unforgettable. I look forward to the many years of us growing together and further driving the impact of the organization while having lots of fun doing it. RF4L!

To the beloved, award-winning chapter in the Mighty Midwest Region, @dstglenellyn: Thank you for welcoming me into the sisterhood with such warmth, compassion, and genuine care. I felt embraced from the first volunteer activity and that sense of belonging stayed with me every step of the way. I immediately knew this would be my home and am beyond grateful for how clearly this journey unfolded.

Now let’s get to work 🔺

So you got a card instead of securing your Momcation spot 😬… it’s okay mama, there’s still time.

Momcation is the ultimate gift for any mom. Spend the weekend at a local wellness retreat, with an in-house chef & mixologist, June 27-29, 2025.

We will also have wellness sessions from a clinical therapist who specializes in postpartum depression & a women’s health NP. Not to mention , a special entertainment guest, goodies, and girl time.

$100 secures you space. Then you may pay as low as $50 on your own schedule to complete payment. See the l!no in my b!o for further details.

Grief is not linear, and healing is not easy. For almost a decade, I’ve been tracking my grief—and this is what it looks like:

January 3rd
April 6th and 10th
Mother’s Day
June 11th & 23rd
July 6th
October 16th
Thanksgiving
Christmas

These dates mark the loss of people I’ve loved deeply. They also mark the moments when my grief feels heaviest, often manifesting as anger, agitation, or hypersensitivity. But I’ve learned to recognize these patterns—not to erase them, but to strategically respond to them.

Last year, Pastor @abundantlybri said something that stuck with me: when dead things become living again, hypersensitivity may happen and it may hurt, so have a strategy to manage and deal with your feelings being raw and not numb. So this is a piece of my strategy. I acknowledge the weight of these dates, and I allow myself to feel. I remind myself it’s okay to mourn what I’ve lost, but it’s also okay to celebrate that I was loved and I loved.

I’m still learning. Still healing. Still navigating this journey of loss and love. Grief doesn’t go away—it transforms. And so do we. 💜

If you’re carrying grief, know this: you’re not alone. Create your strategy. Share your story. Let’s heal together.
