The baritones had an amazing time having our last day of 2-a-Days for this year and celebrated it with lunch at the mall with some baritone alumni! The seniors were also very sad to have their last section lunch. 😢

I don’t think he knew, but I came close to quiting. There was a point where I looked at myself and started sobbing because I’d so tired from band that I wanted to quit. I don’t understand yet why I stayed; but I’m glad I did. This season has been a rollercoaster, and I hate rollercoasters, but not this one. This one is the one that makes me get out of my fear, and the people in my section may be the ones to have thrown me on, but I’m glad they did, because I would’ve never stayed. Thank you for making this year one worth staying.

Where to start on such a fun day. Started late afternoon and ended as late as possible. It was the first time in a while returning back to the fare, not only was my dad gracious to let me wonder around without him, but, I also got to do it with my friend; for the first time in a while. It was such a fun day, riding all the rides we could, and ending with the best ride of all; the Tilt-a-Whirl. It was fun, and I’d do it all over again. Thank you for the fun day!!

And suddenly, it all makes since. Every practice, every tear, every sweat, every hour spent there instead of somewhere else; it all starts to make since. Because that feeling of being on the field, in front of thousands watching and listening to you is what makes the months of work all feel like something. Sometimes we aren’t the best at being lucky, but, this is just the start of our competitions, there are still plenty of surprises left for us, and moments to win. We are not done yet. I believe I’m lucky to have a section like mine; brothers (and a sister) i would’ve never met otherwise if I had said ‘No, I’m not going to continue marching’ because at times, I almost gave up. But I didn’t, and I’m staying. I don’t want this season to end, because when it does, it means I’m saying goodbye to some people who I wont get to compete with again; but that doesn’t mean I wont enjoy what time I have with them now. 1 Team, 1 Sound, 1 Family, 1 Regiment.
