Our Team Fiji Suva based athletes conducted a team bonding event to sharpen our athletes as we move closer to the Oceania 2025 in New Zealand 🇳🇿 Thank you to our well experienced coaches like Gardiner Whiteside and Eric Jioje for giving some great words of encouragement to our young new athletes that will be competing for the very first time.

🔥 MEET RECAP: ABHISHAY | U66KG JNR 🔥 Only 5 weeks of coaching, and this man added a massive +57.5KG to his Total! 📊 Progress Breakdown: 💥 +20KG Squat PR (130KG -> 150KG) 💥 +12.5KG Bench PR (82.5KG -> 95KG) 💥 +25KG Deadlift PR ( 180KG -> 205KG) 💪 Matched the U66 Open Deadlift Record at 205KG as a Junior, just before it was bumped to 207.5KG! The light weights showed that size doesn’t matter but the heart does! A tremendous battle between young and experienced was displayed within this categories but great guidance and coaching prevailed. The peoples sight was upon the most anticipated match up in the 74 category between the two veterans of the sport John the boogeyman Carreon, Vinesh the pocket rocket Chand and Loyola the Atomic bomb Young. Loyola had a big mountain to climb because the two veterans who were filled with reservoir of experience but luckily he had a great team and coach behind him to match the experience in front of him. Hats off to each and every athlete both new and experienced, you all did so well and a champions in our eyes.
