Raw and uncut.

I found this gem from a few months back and figured I’d share. This is what dry fire actually looks like for me, especially when I’m doing things like pushing 1 second par times with no magwell.

Most sessions are filled with moments of frustration, constant self-coaching, and countless reps trying to do one thing just a little bit better. In that space is where I push to build proficiency and consistency .

Harness the frustration and the failure. Learn from it. Then keep going.

Growth is often in the hard work.

Reloads and unloaded starts are my absolute kryptonite. So it’s all I did tonight. Very deliberately trying to work on speed through efficiency over speed for the sake of speed. And speed out of my duty retention mag pouches.

Also, I’ll never go back to unweighted dry fire.

My boy @riosreloaded called me slow… so here we are lol. Maybe he didn’t actually say the words, but go check out his page, you’ll see what I mean.

The first time I set up a camera to record myself it was for the sole purpose of getting an outside view to identify and fix inefficiencies in my motions. Sometimes stuff makes it to the internet now, but the purpose of the recording remains the same.

Last week I recorded an impromptu concealment range session while playing around with @infinitytargets. Man did I see wasted motion and time in my draw. I posted the video anyway, because that’s where I was in the moment, and its authenticity over everything. But then I got to the lab to clean myself up.

@achillesheeltactical command drills always to fine tune efficiency.

I still see LOTS of room for improvement here. More fluid movements. Less wasted over travel. More consistency. But that’s where it starts.

Get the reps in & never stop pushing to get better.

Dry fire verification session.

I only had time for quick 100 or so rounds this morning and it was all about the grip. I used the @achillesheeltactical Command Drill to work draw efficiency and stacked it with high round courses of fire. Being quick out of the holster is one thing, having a grip that is consistent durable to last whatever course of fire follows is the difference I’ve been working to build consistency with.

Had a plan for my duty setup but left my inner belt so it turned into a concealment session. Heavy on the rotation of @tier1concealed and @4brosholsters for EDC 🫡.

Seven months into using @thegripkeeper products consistently and it’s not a question that it’s helped me tremendously. The laser trainer has done wonders for my vision, and the grip trainers have pushed that focus further into the background. I’m always bad at this part, but use code: Aegis10 at checkout.
