Recently on Episode 54 of @thehiddenbricks “The Best Part of LEGO Isn’t the Bricks”, MAV and Em talked about the LEGO community. Around the 1:02 mark, MAV talked about the origins of the name ‘The Hidden Bricks’ and how he imagined it as a speakeasy style place to hang out with those who share our interest.

So, I took that idea and built from it. I created the Hidden Bricks Lounge. A place for LEGO community members to “Build, Chat & Geek Out.”

Included you can see many SigFig friends who have joined in during the Hidden Bricks podcasts.

Thank you all those who are part of this LEGO community. These friendships mean so much to me…more than some of you may ever know.

In my keynote speech at #brickslopes2026 I shared how LEGO helped pull me out of a dark time in my life and I wanted to start sharing more of that from time to time on here as well.

I discovered @lego during a time when I was struggling, I had really bad post partum anxiety, I was on medication for it and I was drowning in life, the kids, the exhaustion, the chaos. LEGO felt like a lifeline I could grab to keep my head above water, it was calming, therapeutic, joyful, rewarding.

They say you can feel like you’re drowning and still want to be in the ocean. I wouldn’t change anything about my life even how overwhelming it can still feel at times, especially as my boys get older and more wild 😂 but this hobby and especially this community have given me so much. I’m so grateful for all of you who are walking this path with me, I love geeking out with you online, I love getting to meet you in person each year and you help make me a better version of myself 🫶

LEGO's new Minas Tirith set impressed us with its resplendent interior space for the Steward of Gondor to brood and feast on tomatoes. @accio.bricks takes a break from Hogwarts to build an even grander Hall of Kings. The many arches and the black and white marble patterns are mesmerizing and vast enough that you can almost hear the tomato juice dribbling down Denethor's mouth.

Almost didn’t make it to Brickworld this year, but I’m so glad I did. It was great to reunite with some old friends, @clickbrickworks and @chadventureland and make a lot more.

The builds are so incredible and super inspiring, but meeting everyone, sometimes for the first time irl, is always the best part.

Thank you to everyone who exchanged sigfigs and other swag. If I owe you a sigfig, DM me and I’ll mail you mine!

Brickworld Chicago 2026 was an amazing week. Saw so many friends. Met people I can now call friends, Some now are brothers for life. So many great memories and future plans made. Thank you to every that liked my Mocs enough to leave me a token, thank you to everyone that took the time to say hi, to trade with me and have a chat . It has been such an incredible experience . To have someone stop you, say that they follow you and how happy they are to meet you in person is a feeling I can’t really explain, but I never want it to go away. Thank you Brickworld. (I could only tag 20, don’t take it personal, please tag yourselves and if you left me a token please let me know!)

My first Lego convention was absolutely amazing!
@brickfairexpo Virginia had some incredible builders on display. From small micro scale builds to massive layouts, from KFOL builders to AFOL builders. It was incredible to see the creativity on display in that room.

There were some many other things going on as well; vendors, bounce house, kids duplo and Lego build areas, a giant floor mosaic (which we each built a piece for), bingo, Lego Masters contestant @timsbrickadventures and more.

Meeting some online friends in person and getting to see their builds up close was the highlight of the trip. Frank @accio.bricks had an awe inspiring Harry Potter MOC. Which included SigFig friends!
Dana @virginia_bricks showcased many of her stunning mosaics! I recognized several that she’s shared on IG.

I am filled with so many ideas now and am inspired to dream big and build! Look for Team Hummel to be at more Lego conventions in the very near future!

I can’t wait to get home and build! But for now, a few more days with family here on the east coast.

🌲 Our heroes, ‘The Knights of the Christmas Sweater’ must defend their gingerbread castle from the evil Static Cling Monster.
The Knights work to protect the elves while they work hard to create Christmas sweaters in time for the holiday season. 🎄

I started this account last year with my one and only goal of making Lego friends. I never had a “follower” goal in mind, I just wanted to be part of what I knew was an incredible community. I’m shocked and grateful that 3000 of you want to follow this journey of mine and I can truly say I have made lifelong friends in here.
So I want to take a moment and shout out the first handful of accounts I remember connecting with in the early days of my page and thank them for that early support and friendship. @captain_brixx @majistos.workshop @jen_builds_ and @cynthia_brickbuilds were the first to welcome me and hype my content.
