Pretty sure this is going to be an unpopular opinion (based on everything I’ve been reading)… but I freaking LOVED today’s #DLHalloweenHalf course. Nearly 6 miles inside the parks was absolutely magical - pretty sure we covered square inch of Disney California Adventure & #Disneyland.

& I know I’m probably in the minority here too, but… I actually really enjoyed the streets of Anaheim too. The industrial out-and-backs everyone else has complained about? Loved ‘em. The locals showed up with their lawn chairs, pop-up tents, & endless snacks - plus there were so many bands & DJs along the route.

Those out-and-backs ended up being one of my favorite parts. I loved seeing all the #runDisney runners, waving to friends, & getting to hear the bands & DJs a second time.

Disneyland races just hit different. I’m so sad they’re going away AGAIN 😭.

Don’t get me wrong, I love races at WDW too… but nothing compares to all the park time we get at Disneyland, & if I’m being honest - the streets of Anaheim beat boring old Osceola Highway any day! Sorry not sorry. 😉

As Ricky Bobby always says “If you ain’t first, you’re last!” 🤣

Getting really excited for this week’s #PrincesHalf… who do I get to see this week at the expo, while I’m cheering during the #Princess10K, or out on the course during the half?!

It’s hard to believe that @sparkleathletic is THIRTEEN years old… when @thisiscarrie, @elisewallace & I set out to run the #surfcitymarathon, I figured it would be a “one & done”, for me at least. It never occurred to me (or any of us) that @runsurfcityusa would be the start of an amazing & sparkly journey for us.

Thirteen years later, we are still running races & still in business - I’m not sure which one I’m more surprised by! 🤣

Although it’s super cliché, I can honestly say that I never realized how much a pair of shoes, a single race, & three sparkly skirts could change a girl's life - commence all the feels. 😍⠀

Little did we know this was going to be the beginning of something really incredible… #teamsparkle.

ps. We’d really LOVE to know when YOU joined the “team”! Leave a comment below with the year (& race?!) that YOU first rocked the sparkle. & Don’t forget to post a pic of your own - we can’t wait to see all of the #teamsparkle #teamsparkleis13 pics. 😍

Nighttime races are my favorite & the #runDisney #SpringtimeSurprise #ExpeditionEverest5K was no exception. Running through Animal Kingdom (& Pandora) at night was absolutely amazing. & It was so fun to share this experience with Daisy Duck (aka @runkarlarun), Harold the Yeti (aka @elisewallace) & our personal photographer @rghitchcock.

The only question I have is, do I get to keep the medal if I don’t do the “postponed” scavenger hunt?! 🤣

I can’t even begin to express my feelings… spending the last three days at the #runDisney #PrincessHalf expo has been absolutely magical.

Thank you to EVERYONE who stopped by the @sparkleathletic booth to say hi, we are so incredibly grateful for your continued love & support - I’ve been feeling warm fuzzies all weekend long!

Now who am I going to see on the race course tomorrow?! I can’t wait to finally earn my bling!

A (not so) long time ago in a galaxy (not so) far, far away... we succumbed to the sparkle side (after all they always have 🍩🍩🍩).

#repost @sparkleathletic: It may have been virtual, but our #runDisney #StarWarsHalf was absolutely perfect.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Zoom & Facebook Live for our #StarWarsRivalRunVirtual. Running, biking & rowing with YOU was an absolute blast! May the Force be with you.

The Force was definitely with us (or maybe it was the “motivation” of having a Stormtrooper breathing down our necks)... @thisiscarrie, @elisewallace & I ran, biked & rowed the #rundisney #StarWarsHalf, all on Facebook Live & @zoom (& we didn’t die). 😬🤣

ps. Big shoutout to @kcshea, @rghitchcock & @teamcjrunning for handling everything “behind the scenes” & making sure everything ran smoothly. You guys are the best & we were so lucky to have you on the team. 😘

Cue the 🎉, bring the 🎈, & break out the 🍩... @thisiscarrie, @elisewallace & I ran, biked & rowed the entire #rundisney #PrincessHalfVirtual, all on Facebook Live & @zoom (& we didn’t die). 😬🤣

There were character stops & @dksdonutsorange 🍩 holes at every mile, & even a special appearance by #runDisney race announcer @carissaanneg & 👑 Elsa.

But the best part of the entire experience? Having so many members of #teamsparkle join us on ZOOM - it truly was SO much fun. I can honestly say I laughed & cried at different points throughout the race. & I am already wondering “when can we do this again?”

It wasn’t the #runDisney #PrincessHalf I had hoped for, but it’s definitely the one I needed & I can honestly say this is one race I will never forget. 🥰

ps. Big shoutout to @kcshea & @rghitchcock for handling everything “behind the scenes” & making sure everything ran smoothly. You guys are the best & we were so lucky to have you on the team. 😘

While we’ve been celebrating all week, eleven years ago TODAY, #teamsparkle was established when @thisiscarrie, @elisewallace & @according2kelly ran the Surf City USA Marathon rocking our homemade sparkly running skirts.
⠀
We’ve said it before, but once again we just want to say how incredibly grateful we are to be part of such an inspiring, motivating & supportive community. Thank YOU so very much for "joining the team." Without each & every one of YOU on #teamsparkle, @sparkleathletic wouldn’t still be here today... especially after this past year. Our amazing community truly is the epitome of awesome. & To be honest, we really are so much more than a team, we are a big sparkly family.⠀
⠀
Continue being your awesome selves & spreading the power of #sparkle. You inspire us daily! 😘⠀
