Special shout out to my swing @ottiliedance who saved my piece from drowning just weeks away from the showcase, she is a part of the team just as much as the rest of them are.

Description:
As said in the beginning of this video I used this set to showcase a narrative based on a love story with the typical gender roles switched, switching out the guy chasing his love interest till she finally agrees to go out with him to the woman Enticing her love interest from the moment she catches his attention without ever having to do any of the chasing. And you as the audience get to watch their relationship blossom from them meeting and having the feeling of “like” turn into “love”. I wanted to also take it back to the 90’s/ early 2000’s RnB old school love era, it was a big part of my life growing up and we really just don’t get love in the present day like how it was portrayed and sung about back then.

So not only was this just a love story flipped on its head, it was one based around old school RnB love and that nostalgia that came with it.

Big thank you to my Team of love birds who brought my piece to life, thank you to @_knsworld_ for giving me this opportunity to create, lead and direct my very own set, thank you to the core team for helping out during rehearsals and on the day making this showcase possible and a success. So blessed and grateful to have had this experience with my Perspective family 🖤🐺💙✨

SUPER LONG POST BUT WORTH THE READ‼️‼️‼️

I had the most joyous time creating this piece and working with these dancers so first and foremost, thank you all for bringing yourselves into this and being so open. It made the piece so much more (not bad for like 3 sessions eh). Thank you @perspective.tc for asking me to put it together! I really wanted to share this set in its entirety on here because of what it represents. A celebration of my friends, old and new. Without them, life would be very dull and boring. But more than that, knowing that there are people there when times get hard (I’m sure we’ve all experienced at some points, that times get gawd damn hard) that will walk alongside us, listen to us, or even just be a shoulder to lean on, I think that’s pretty damn sick! This year in particular I’ve really come to appreciate that.

So even though this is dedicated to all of them, I want to give a special shoutout to three of my oldest friends that dance brought me to. @zenbukkar my sister, we’ve been all over the world together and to be able to dance with you again on stage was just the best! @_knsworld_ my brother, we’ve come a long way and seeing you doing what you’re doing brings the biggest smile to my face. @teckybecky_ my other half, my ride or die, I am so so thankful we found each other!

This is a super long post and if you’ve read it all, fair play, BUT let it be known with one last sentiment (and I’m sure we can all relate to this) To all my friends, for being there for me whenever I needed, even if I didn’t ask, I love you all so very very much, and I will shout that to the skies and beyond! So this one’s for y’all muthaf**kas
