Wow. Saturday’s Pride Month Kickoff Party was indescribable. I am so proud and privileged to say that this was The Cult of Love’s FIRST EVER SOLD OUT SHOW BABY! But, oh my god, did it take a village to make this such a success. I have so many gorgeous people to thank. Thank you to the @corkandbean for believing in me and The Cult of Love and supporting us all the way, we love you and can’t wait to be back! Thank you so much to the incomparable performers @ace.monstera @nowjosie & @jimmy_fallic. Thank you for your love and trust in me and thank you for sharing your art with the community. It was a sincere honour and privilege. And most importantly, A MASSIVE THANK YOU to anyone that bought a ticket or supported the show in any way shape or form. I cannot even explain to you the joy, magic, energy and love that was in the room that night. That audience was on FIRE 🔥! And without you all and your love and support, there would be no show. Thank you to any other person who had any single hand making this show happen. I love you and appreciate you all more than words can even describe. I never take any chance to perform for granted. It has been my dream for so long so thank you thank you thank you for allowing me to live my dreams. I know little Matthew is so proud of me. I love you all so much! HAPPY PRIDE! We’ll see you soon! ❤️💛💛💚💙💜🩵🩷🤍🤎🖤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Our next performer for CRIPtonite is the fabulous @ace.monstera!

They're electric and eclectic. They're fiercely flamboyant with a devilish charm that will have you wriggling with delight and dancing in your seat. Ace Monstera is a gender defying drag king who aims to represent and carve out more spaces for the Kings, Things, and glorious gender queerdos of the Toronto drag scene and beyond. As a disability and Covid safety advocate, Ace calls upon the Toronto Drag Community and Queer community at large to shed the apathy and complacency that comes with prioritizing able bodied comfort over disabled lives. We take care of us.

Join us in-person at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre or online via livestream on Saturday, April 20 at 8 PM for performances by Ace Monstera and 12 other incredible disabled drag and burlesque performers!

🎟️ Pay What You Can tickets for both the in-person and livestream events are on sale NOW! Visit thedisabilitycollective.com/tickets (link in bio!) to get yours today!

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION:
• ASL interpretation will be provided throughout the show. ASL volunteers will be available to assist at Front of House.
• Masks are required for all audience members but may be removed temporarily for drinking and eating. Exemptions are always made for access or medical reasons.
• The venue is fully accessible. A venue guide will be released on our website closer to the show.
• An access guide will be released on our website closer to the show.

[Image Description in the comments] The CRIPtonite artist graphic, featuring a dark background with small white stars and faded shades of pink and purple with a photo of Ace Monstera in the centre inside of a large triangle. Against a soft white background, Ace Monstera is seen from the waist up striking a mid performance pose as if belting an 80s rock ballad. His face is painted clown white, cheeks and nose bright pink, a dramatic crooked stache with severe pointed eyebrows, and sharp eyeliner against a lime green shadow. He wears his long black hair styled in a tall spiky mullet, shaved at the sides, with two braids down the front of his chest and thick pointed fringe coming down his forehead. He wears a bright pink button up with black accents in the form of long gloves and a subtle black harness under his shirt. His eyes are closed, his face is joyous, he's rockin' out. Above the photo are the words “The Disability Collective” and “CRIPtonite”. Below the photo reads “Ace Monstera, Saturday, April 20, In-Person: Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Livestream: www.thedisabilitycollective.com.

New show alert!!!!!

Tuesday April 23rd come on out for an ALL KINGS drag show from 8-11!

This is a very important show to attend as often kings are not booked, over looked, and seen as less entertaining ( which is 100% not true). The village does not have many shows ( other than girl crush shows) that kings are featured so an ALL KINGS show in the village is a big deal!

We need everyone’s support to make this a successful show and not a one time thing so here’s where we need your help!

Please SHARE SHARE SHARE the poster, come to the show, buy drinks/food, reserve a table, tell your friends/ bring them. We want this show to continue.

We will be doing a raffle where u can win a really cool prize! How to win?! Share the poster every time u share u will be added , by buying drinks/ food at the bar ( 1 entry per item), reserving your spot at the show.

This is a really important show and we hope to see you all there ❤️
