🗿 8J Audi TTS 🗿

If the VW/Audi Group know how to make something it’s certainly a car for the people.

This time around it was a SUPERCAR (for the people).

“Wow It’s a nice little car” would be the unanimous response from anyone you’d show your new TTS to who isn’t part of the automotive scene.

Personally: I’m a fan of the styling of this car. Especially the tail-end & seeing it rolling down the road.

My only gripe with this car is that the looks are all for show.

The 8J generation TTS features the well-loved CDL 2.0t 4cyl engine found across various VW/Audi models, alongside the famous Haldex AWD system.

Don’t be fooled by what sounds like a “Miata killer” on paper. It’s less ‘sports coupe’ more ‘Golf R coupe’.

This car actually weighs over 1,500kg. Somehow more than my 4 door 3 series BMW for a ‘compact’ car.

In saying that: it’s still certainly something to fall in love with. It’s nothing short of fun to drive & you’re never going to walk away from it without looking back once or twice.

If you’re looking for a car to corner-carve a mountain in; the TTS wouldn’t personally be of recommendation. It’s a little numb & heavy around the corners (even with adjusted suspension).

This car, instead, belongs rolling down the highway & DSG farting its way through the city while blaring EDM/House music (Just like any other P Plate owned VW Golf).

If you’re heading out for a beach day with your friends & want to break necks on a budget, always wished for a low-down sports coupe version of the MK6 R, or if you happen to be Luis Lopez from the GTA 4 TBOGT DLC then this car is right up your alley!
