WELCOME TO THE TUNNEL ✨

There is what we see on screen.

And then, there’s the magic that happens behind the camera.

The smiles, the laughter, the knowing glances, and the positive energy that turns every production into a shared adventure.

At JSL Studios, filmmaking is about more than the final frame. Because while cinema brings us together in front of the camera, it’s what happens behind it that brings us closer.

Let’s change the world, one film at a time.

A magical evening in the Askewniverse on the weekend I finished my first non-comedy screenplay and slapped a Writer’s Guild registration on it. Couldn’t ask for more inspiring timing than opening weekend for a Looney Tunes movie saved from evil forces. Don’t dream it, be it!

AMERICAN • SUMMER | Coming to Select U.S. Theaters Friday, September 4th | Locations and Ticket Info coming soon @americansummermovie

🌺 2ND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR 🎬

Listen — I told myself I was going to write more than @lastlooks_evi did in her IG post. To be petty. Then I figured I can’t because she said everything I was thinking

Almost 2 years since wrap, I’m very humble and fortunate to have helped steer those 20 days of shooting towards the path of completion. Assisted only by seasoned vets and burgeoning experts. What an absolute powerhouse of fun, class, and camaraderie. Lights through the mud, stingers through the grass, Westwood cops, media scalpers, scorching heat, pounding rain, Steve Guttenberg, & the next generation of Hollywood right in our passenger van

To my Cast and Crew (30+ to name!) — This is our movie. About fleeting youth. Lasting memories. Unforgettable summer love. A coming of age until age comes a-knockin’. Universal, feel-good themes, ain’t that the truth

& to my 1st AD Danny Ward @ddubbers — If I was Pippen, you were Jordan. Worked with me, Taught me, Trusted me, & Valued me. In ways an AD never had before. A good attitude sets examples, & he carried that everyday. I’ll never forget the dedication that he and his longtime collaborators showed here — My confidants @myshiftkeyisbroke and @michaelcuomo

Special Thanks to The Gray Family, SAG-AFTRA @sagaftra and AJ @aljalilw for the rides home after 12+ hour days — Everyone catch this flick soon soon soon!
