European player development must be intertwined with American player development.

The creativity, athleticism, freedom, and one-on-one ability developed in the American game should be connected with the movement, footwork, spacing, timing, patience, and decision-making emphasized in European development.

It shouldn’t be one style versus the other.

The formula is in the combination.

Develop players who can create individually but also understand how to move without the ball. Players who can break a defender down but also manipulate an entire defense. Players who have skill, but also understand timing, angles, rhythm, and space.

The future of player development is not about choosing one system.

It’s about taking the strongest principles from both and building a more complete basketball player. @lesly_hoops

Father’s Day isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence.

To the men who show up, stay consistent, teach, protect, guide, and love their children every day, even when no one is watching…thank you.

In a world that often focuses on what’s broken, today is a reminder that there are still incredible fathers quietly doing the work, setting the example, and leaving a legacy through their actions.

To every dad, bonus dad, grandfather, uncle, mentor, and father figure making a difference: your impact reaches farther than you know. Media & social media clips will have you believe that you aren’t present but the men in my friends circle take care of their responsibilities & revel in it. Today we salute you!

Happy Father’s Day. ❤️
