“Our biggest inspiration was gratitude,” Jane and Abner reflect. “We wanted to create an experience that honored the family and friends who supported us, guided us and ultimately helped bring us together.”
Their fall wedding at The Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland was an elevated affair featuring a simple white tent that was transformed into an immersive space overflowing with lush blooms, organic textures and romantic details. The tent’s entrance was draped with rich green velvet to keep the ceremony space hidden and entice guests to step inside. What awaited was a magical, floral-filled experience, including an aisle lined with dramatic blooms that led the eye to a grand floral arch where they would exchange their vows.
Playful, unexpected edible elements such as kiwi berries, ginger, grapes, peppers and pomegranate, along with seasonal greenery brought an artistic flair to the arrangements and tablescapes. While guests reveled in the event’s creativity, they also enjoyed a few of the bride and groom’s personal favorites, including bottles of Jane’s favorite hot sauces and a late-night snack bar featuring their comfort food of choice, Korean instant noodles.

It’s always a huge honor to see our work featured, and we’re thrilled that J&A’s stunning day is being recognized by @washingtonweddingday

For this incredible couple, the goal was simple: bring a lush, blooming garden inside the breathtaking @woodmarkhotel .To do it right, we didn’t just focus on lush, blooming flowers; we dialed up the depth with rich, moody hues. To add that signature “fun” kick J hoped for, we integrated unique, unexpected, and funky accents like fresh fruit—figs, grapes, even red chili peppers—because every garden needs a little personality, right?

Great hike out to Greenwater Lake trail. Misunderstood how long the hike was, 3 plus hours later found a flat spot in the trail on Nobel Knob to sleep till the sun came back. Hiked back and spotted Chico on the return. 💜 “Not all those who wander are lost”

Though I was fighting a lingering flu from my birthday. 1/31/2026, Prof. escorted me to Swedish. Amazing team, kept the pain manageable, CT confirmed Appendicitis. Surgery 2/1/2026 9am, prepped and on the OR table. Inside, much worse, than expected, old abscess from precious attack from years back. Cut out the culprit, other adhesions, and clean out the mess, installed drain. Woke to “don’t rub your eyes”, but pain was down. Kept for a couple of days, due to amount and clarity of my drain fluid. Appreciate y’all keeping me around. Guess, I still have more to do…
