Team Heidi had a wonderful day at the Susan G. Komen (@susangkomen) Connecticut MORE THAN PINK Walk in Hartford! 💗🐾
We were so happy to be there with our favorite bestie, Renee Dinino from WFSB Channel 3 (@reneedinino, @wfsbnews), who hosted this wonderful event.
A special surprise was seeing our ACES friends there supporting the walk! We were so glad to take this great photo together. Heidi was also joined by her sisters Libby, the Australian Labradoodle, and little Giselle (GG), along with our Puppies Behind Bars CT teammate, K9 Nash (@k9nash_farmingtonpd).
We love coming together at community events through ACES. This one was especially meaningful as we honored survivors, supported those facing breast cancer, and remembered loved ones. We left with happy hearts and wonderful memories🐾🐾🐾🐾🦴🦮🩷

Five years in, this is still one of my favorite mornings of the year. Our community comes together to work hard for people who need it, and everyone has a place in the room.

Join us for our 5th Annual Charity Workout on Saturday, November 14, at 8 AM at Ranfone Training Systems in Hamden.

Admission is $10 and one food item. Every dollar goes to Connecticut Foodshare, and every food item goes to the ACES community to help support families this Thanksgiving.

The workout is built for all ages and fitness levels. Bring a friend, your kids, or your parents. Everyone is welcome.

Our goal this year is to raise $3,600. If you can’t join us on November 14, you can still donate and help us get there.

Let us know you’re coming by responding “Going” on our Facebook event page or registering through Eventbrite. Bring a friend and help us bring more people together to support local families this Thanksgiving.

On Wednesday and Thursday, I was honored to be invited to the @aces_connecticut ECA college Rep Portfolio Day! 🎨🎓🐾
I was there to offer comfort and support as my ECA besties met with college representatives and shared their talents, hard work, and plans for the future. I’m so proud of them!
We also took some wonderful photos together. What a special couple of days celebrating all they’ve accomplished🐾🐾🐾🐾🦴🦮🎨🎭🖌️

Connecticut's Blue Ribbon Commission considers expanding the role of Regional Educational Service Centers.

The Commission recently heard proposals aimed at strengthening the state's six RESCs and expanding regional approaches to meeting school district needs.
Among the ideas discussed: new funding mechanisms, greater access to special education grants, and incentives for districts to participate in regional services.
