Meet Malik Oliver, freshman defensive back at Canyon View High School and brother of NFL defensive back Isaiah Oliver. With aspirations of playing at the highest level, Malik is putting in the work now to build the foundation for his future. Today, we’re working through a full-body stretch therapy routine, targeting multiple muscle groups to improve mobility, flexibility, and overall athletic performance. During the season our primary focus is… Injury Risk Management! Addressing mobility restrictions and improving movement quality can help athletes prepare their bodies for the demands of competition.

Being a father means thinking beyond today it means preparing my son for tomorrow. ❤️

Today, I got to introduce my son to assisted stretching and bodywork, not because he needs to “fix” anything, but because I want him to understand the importance of taking care of his body from an early age.

Mobility, flexibility, body awareness, recovery, and learning how to properly move are all investments that can benefit him as he grows and develops especially as he gets more active and eventually finds the sports and activities he loves. For me, fatherhood is about more than providing. It’s about teaching, preparing, leading by example, and giving my son the tools to become the best version of himself.

I may not be able to control every step of his journey, but I can make sure he starts that journey prepared.
And if I can give him even a small advantage while creating memories with him along the way, that’s what being Dad is all about.

A behind the scenes look at a session with athlete Chris Del Real, a running back at Canyon View High School.

We’re working deep through the rotators, glutes, and hamstrings to improve tissue quality, mobility, and overall movement efficiency.

For athletes, flexibility is only one piece of the puzzle. Elasticity and joint mobility play a major role in how well the body absorbs, stores, and releases force.

When joints move efficiently and soft tissues can lengthen and recoil properly, the body is better equipped to handle the demands of sprinting, cutting, accelerating, and decelerating. #stretchtherapy

Strong hips are about more than flexibility they’re the foundation of efficient movement.

Hip joint mobility helps improve your squat depth, walking and running mechanics, balance, and overall athletic performance. When your hips move well, your lower back and knees don’t have to compensate, which can reduce unnecessary strain and lower your risk of injury.

Mobility isn’t about forcing a bigger range of motion it’s about creating healthy, controlled movement that your body can actually use. #stretchtherapy

Opening the hip gate changes everything more mobility, more power, better movement. If your hips aren’t opening, your body is compensating somewhere else. Unlock the hips, unlock the performance #stretchtherapy #bodywork #
