Rounding out year 2 since moving to Charlotte and I’m feeling so grateful for the friendships and community I’ve found here. Moving to a new city alone is hard. Making new friends as an adult is equally as hard.

I spent so much of my 20’s chasing the next thing, the next move. Some days those feelings still creep in. But these people are my anchor. And life is so much more fulfilling when shared with people you love.

Yesterday my friends and I drove supples to Marshall NC. We went ready to work and work we did. After 3 hrs of shoveling muck from the basement of a historic home downtown. I went to gather some images to show the reality of the situation.

Volunteers are starting to dwindle and there is so much more to do. Regardless of your belief system or political view I urge to bring supplies, volunteer or share the many fundraising efforts.

If you come to help you will find only friends. Everything you need is provided. If you want to go back to mountains anytime soon please lend a hand.

Went on a a little walk in September with @acgrosse to the most beautiful place I think I’ve ever been. 40+ miles and 4 nights under the stars. We ran into some bad weather, had to cut it a bit short, and hiked out 16 miles in the rain. Wont ever forget that one!

It’s no secret that an amazing photo can change a shelter dog’s life. Here in the Charlotte community, we have an abundance of photographers trying to make a difference in the best way they know how—by helping these dogs shine!

We rotate the best we can, to ensure we make opportunities for any adoptable dog through a local shelter or 501c3 rescue to get their #newprofilepic and better their chances of getting noticed!

That’s a wrap on NHL Stadium Series, had a blast running with @nhlnetwork for their coverage of the game. Working with such a great crew from top to bottom makes for an amazing time at work. And even better being back on the ice again after cutting my teeth filming hockey for so long.
