True story: we debated attending the No Kings protest for a number of personal reasons. That morning, a couple of our friends attended one and people flooded their pictures! We felt so inspired.

At 1PM, we made a game time decision to go! (Thanks husbands for taking the kids!) What this protest meant to us was too great to sit out.

And we’re so grateful we went.

We were met with kindness and peace. The collective energy was electric. It was a reminder that we are not alone. And we all hope for the same brighter future!

Thank you for organizing, @gavoicesunited !

The only king 👑 we honor in Atlanta is Martin Luther King Jr. — not fascist wannabes playing dress-up with our democracy.

Today I had the honor of raising my voice at the #NoKings protest in Atlanta, and leading the chant: NO KINGS IN AMERICA. Because silence is complicity, and the First Amendment wasn’t made for pleasantries — it was made for moments like this.

To speak truth in the face of authoritarianism is not just a right — it’s a responsibility.

🙏🏽 Deep thanks to @deucebruce2 @attorneycbruce of the @acluofga for handing me the mic and always making sure the people have a voice. In this city of movement-makers and freedom fighters, we know: power belongs to the people. No Kings in America. Ever.
