Introducing the 2026–2027 Infantry Band Public Relations and Finance Sergeant, Morgen Glossup!

From Salado, Texas, Morgen is an Agricultural Leadership and Development major. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in early childhood education or child development.

Last year, she served as a peer mentor for freshmen in the Corps of Cadets, an experience that strengthened her passion for guiding others. Through a career in child development, she hopes to continue making a positive impact by encouraging others to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

Morgen’s favorite part of the Corps is the opportunities to encourage others and remind them that they belong in Aggieland. “Helping others believe in themselves is one of the greatest ways to make a difference.”

Between working in a restaurant, making memories with her sisters, and taking classes, Morgen stayed busy this summer and officially passed 90 hours toward her degree. Summer is officially in the books, and she can’t wait to see what this next year has in store!

Introducing the 2026-2027 Infantry Band Executive Officer, Andrew Boren!

From Brownwood, Texas, Andrew is completing a dual degree in Mathematics and History with a minor in Leadership. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in public service. Preparing to serve others through thoughtful leadership and principled decision-making, his goal is to earn a Master’s degree in International Affairs to complement his quantitative and analytical undergraduate education.

Andrew says the Corps has shaped his philosophy of leadership, teaching him to “lead with an empathetic heart and sober mind.” This principle has become a guiding force and will continue to influence him long after his time at Texas A&M.

For Andrew, the greatest gift of the Corps has always been its people. “To be surrounded by outstanding individuals that strive for success is a rare gift.” Surrounded by classmates who continually challenge and inspire one another, he has found lasting friendships and a community that has made every obstacle worthwhile.

This summer, Andrew has continued pursuing growth both academically and personally by tackling upper-level mathematics courses and exploring new corners of Texas on weekend trips. He also had the opportunity to participate in a Corps Excursion to Morocco, where he toured the U.S. Embassy in Rabat. Between experiencing the country’s rich culture and incredible food, Andrew met with members of the Moroccan Air Force to learn extensively about international security cooperation alongside his peers. From advanced equations to international conversations, Andrew has embraced every opportunity to continue learning, making the most of his summer before an exciting senior year.

Introducing the 2026-2027 Infantry Band Commander, Jackson Beever!

Jackson is a Finance major from Pearsall, Texas. After graduating, he plans to build a career in business financing within South-Central Texas, with a focus in commercial real estate lending. Through the Commercial Banking Program and the Master of Financial Management program at Mays Business School, he’s building the expertise needed for both his professional career and his long-term goal of becoming a homeowner within the next decade.

Jackson credits the Corps with giving him a “masterclass in engaged leadership,” but says its greatest lesson came through the people around him. “People are everything. Regardless of where you stand in its structure, the Corps of Cadets institutionalizes a sense of camaraderie that evolves into the drive needed to cultivate professional, success-oriented relationships with those around you,” he says. Those lessons, learned through the relationships he built in khaki, will prove invaluable throughout his student and professional career.

Jackson says the greatest gift of the Corps has been his buddy class, the people who have shared this journey alongside him. “My favorite part of being in the Corps, through thick and thin, is getting to live this adventure with the bestest friends I will ever have.” While major traditions create lasting memories, he says it is the everyday moments—walking to class, shining boots, and late-night buddy debriefs—that have given him the greatest motivation to stay.

This summer, Jackson has been gaining valuable experience as a Credit Analyst with American Momentum Bank in College Station, exploring the many opportunities within the financial industry. Beyond his internship, he has made the most of his summer by traveling across Texas and spending quality time with his buddies. Whether cooking, running, or simply making memories with those around him, Jackson’s summer has been filled with meaningful experiences, setting an excellent precedent for what’s to come!

Last month, Infantry Band hosted our annual Battalion Week! Packed full of good-bull, these competitive events increased unity throughout the best minor unit on the Quad.

The week started on Tuesday with a mock “Bloody Cross” 5K to prepare for Cadet Challenge, followed by large-scale inter-outfit Dodgeball on Wednesday. Thursday brought the Equipment Carry, a 2 mile race requiring teamwork to safely transport ammo cans, sandbags, kettle bells, weighted plates, and stretchers with a calisthenics circuit at Reed Arena.

We concluded the week with Infantry Band’s annual Rifle Run, a 2 mile run around campus carrying mock rifles known as ducks, showcasing proper firearm safety on the move.

The Battalion Week Running competition showcased individual cadet fitness, with our cadets posting over 1,100 miles in just three weeks.

This year, A-Company edged out B-Company and C-Company to win Battalion Week and receive the coveted Golden Rifles, which will be displayed in A-Company hallway for the remainder of the year.

💪 Intentionality. Integrity. Discipline.

On Monday afternoon, we had the amazing opportunity to conduct a joint highway roadside cleanup with A-company. It was a great way to not just give back to the community and practice selfless service, but also forge a stronger connection with another outfit within the band.

The challenge doesn’t stop here. 🪖
