One thing I’ve learnt is that sometimes the breakthrough doesn’t happen while you’re training, it happens while you’re watching.

Seeing someone else perform a skill your brain has been trying to understand can completely change what’s possible. It gives your nervous system a blueprint, helps you visualise the movement, and suddenly something that felt impossible starts to feel familiar.

So it turns out you can turn a sow's ear into a silk purse. Or in my case an old man into an aerialist.
And yeah, I'm quite proud of this one.
I started this journey at the end of March this year, so this is the product of 6 months of training (on the top of calisthenics experience, though).
.
There's no way I could have done this without the team at @limitlessstudionz, and especially @inverted.mary. Apologies to all the punters at @xcelfitnessmtwellington for all the weird stuff I have been doing in the gym. Thanks to @sourbro_nz for his sports massages (https://loafmassage.squarespace.com/) helping keep the knots at bay.
And, even though we've never met, to @acro_steve for posting his reels showing that even for the experts, it's all about consistent training, failing (lots), and just keeping going on the journey.
Next stop, @cirquedusoleil ?!

What is the most challenging part of TOURING?

Touring is often painted as glamorous—new cities, big stages, bright lights. But every artist knows there’s another side to the story.

👉 Is it the endless travel?
👉 Being away from family?
👉 Staying performance-ready without your normal training setup?
👉 Or maybe something else entirely?

Share your experiences below ⬇️ — you never know who might relate or have tips to make it easier.
