✨Appreciation post for my incredible drama teacher Sarah @actfirstdramaschool I feel so lucky to have found Act first 9 years ago, the most patient, knowledgable, loving drama school you could ever find. Act first is more like a family where everyone supports each other and I am so proud to be a part of.
Thank you Sarah and Emi for coming to my film premiere last week, it meant so much having you both there 🤩🤩

One of our favourite discoveries while researching this year’s Summer Camps Edit was Act First.

Rather than running a traditional holiday club, children become part of a Young Theatre Company for the week, learning performance skills, making friends and building confidence along the way.

Available in Hadleigh, Chelmsford and Woodbridge.

And there’s an exclusive 10% discount for Live Life Edit readers with code SUMMER10.

WORKING PARENTS — THIS ONE’S FOR YOU 👇

Need reliable childcare this summer?

These are some of our favourite full-day options across Essex & Suffolk:

✔️ Orwell Park School
✔️ Holmwood House
✔️ Barracudas Chelmsford
✔️ Ultimate Activity Camps

Longer days.
Great facilities.
Lots of activities.
Happy children.

Sometimes that’s exactly what summer needs.

Save this post for later and send it to another parent who needs it.

Not every child wants to spend their summer on a sports field.

If you have a budding performer, a creative storyteller or simply a child looking to build confidence and make new friends, Act First’s summer theatre camps are well worth a look.

Running in Hadleigh, Chelmsford and Woodbridge, children spend a week creating, rehearsing and performing as part of a Young Theatre Company before taking to the stage for a showcase performance.

✨ LLE readers can also enjoy 10% off using code SUMMER10.

Full details via the link in our Summer Camps feature.

What a fab morning I had on Saturday at @actfirstdramaschool in Woodbridge!

My son has recently started with this brilliant group and, from his enthusiasm, I knew I would love going along to take pictures of all the budding young actors.

Act First is run by the wonderful Sarah, who wrote me this amazing review - it absolutely made my day as you can imagine. Thank you so much Sarah!

“On Saturday we invited Claire from Silver Hart Photography to capture our Woodbridge students in action at Act First Drama School. I knew the photos would be good but I had no idea just how incredible they would be.

“Claire has an amazing ability to capture personality in a single still, the energy, enthusiasm and individuality of each child shines through so clearly. When I received the images I honestly burst into tears, they are truly special.

“Photographing indoors on a gloomy day without additional lighting was no problem at all, Claire made it look effortless and made everyone feel completely at ease. We will only ever work with Claire now, she is exceptional.”

Very happy days!

Love this picture of me and my wonderful, original co stars at a WW2 event. We are looking to revive our comedy, musical all about WW2 and hoping to tour it around care homes next year! I want to re-write it in parts and include some memories of real people who lived through the war. If anyone's grandparents have any interesting stories please PM me. Could be anything, from funny stories about rationing to songs which make them feel nostalgic! I'd love to hear from you! #ww2history #truelifestories #wartimememories #wartime #1940s #theatreforcarehomes #carehomesmatter #carehomeactivities #carehomesuk
