legendary july run. pissed I can’t add more photos

Spent 10 days ( nights actually ) July producing and acting in my first feature film.

After my first scene I thought, “Oh… I get it. I understand why people go broke spending their whole lives chasing this feeling.”

Film is a fickle mistress, and I can’t wait to pay her to step on my metaphorical balls again.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone I got to work with. I learned a ton, laughed a lot, got eaten alive by mosquitoes, became nocturnal, and got to collaborate with some ridiculously talented people.

It’s was so refreshing to work on a production where everyone was relentlessly pulling in the same direction. There was always someone nearby who knew more than I did about something, and I left a better actor, producer, and collaborator because of it.

Here’s a little photo dump from one of the most rewarding creative experiences I’ve had.

My short film, Zapinos, just premiered on the Omeleto YouTube channel today

After filming in Oct 2023, it feels good to finally give more folks the chance to see it outside of festivals and local screenings

Its a dark comedy about a Facebook Marketplace meetup gone wrong and I’m really proud of how it came together

So many amazing people to thank again in helping to bring this to life

And if you wanna see it - the link is in my bio!

Currently voiceless, resting until my voice decides to return, and quietly reflecting on my work so far this year that required so much of my voice. Feels like the universe might be trying to remind me not to take my voice for granted.

Here are some behind-the-scenes highlights from a film I worked on last month which explores the meaning of consciousness (yes, we shot it on green screen because reality is expensive).

In this story, I marry the man of my dreams, then die and haunt him as an "attention wave" in his "pre-consciousness" (not to be confused with the "SUBconscious") to help elevate his awareness and offer pearls of wisdom like: where your attention goes, your life follows.

I love working on films that question philosophical ideas and force me to forget my ego for a while. I also enjoy working with artists like @michaelhowell223 who drive me even crazier than I already am. Just when it feels like I might be settling into some delusion of contentment, all I have to do is collaborate with Michael to disturb my peace and drive me further into madness.

My favorite messages of this film are...maybe don’t let AI hijack your mind. You can consciously control your attention. Be mindful about what you consume and where you direct your focus. Maintain freedom within.

Posting, ironically, because no film technically exists until it’s posted about it here on anti-social media.

Had a very serious night performing a perfectly polished, well rehearsed live comedy show that was totally flawless and definitely NOT cursed 🎄😌 (Sarcasm)

We mashed sketch + improv, broke the fourth wall, summoned the Christmacabra (holiday demon, NDA pending), and staged a disaster so convincing the audience had to ask, “Is this part of the show… or should we leave?” I danced, I sang, I improvised & we performed a last-minute exorcism fueled entirely by Christmas spirit.

Huge love to @actionshow1 , chaos architects @vdubb6 & @sylturner , @smugorange and @michaelhowell223 for nightmares, @hellocovello for swooping in as a ridiculous Buddy the Elf while I played the world’s most joyless control-freak director, and thanks to my friends who came, questioned reality, and stayed anyway. Also, big love to @nate_dorn_images for dark humor and capturing these shots.

90/10 would get festively possessed again. 🎭👹✨❄️⛄
