Dirtbikes are a lot of fun when you have fun with them instead of trying to be pro speed in a year

Welp. I knew I wasn’t ready to go racing on a real track lol. Mud bailed me out last week, I tried but I’m just not anywhere near ready. Sorry team ❤️

Baja Brawl was going alright with decent riding and some falls/mistakes mixed in. Picked it up a bit on the final day of racing Monday and had a 13th place third moto in 25+ for 16th overall after some mishaps the first two motos. The following moto was the consolation race for Open Pro where I worked my way through some riders on the opening laps but ended up having a big one over the big step up while battling for the last transfer spot to the main late in the race.

Smoked my knee pretty good so I couldn’t finish that moto or race the final moto of 30+ which was a bummer but atleast I went out swinging. Not sure on the extent of damage to the knee but I’ll do what I can to try to be healthy asap and get ready for Mini-O’s.

Last @promotocross National of the year at Ironman. Disappointed in my results missing the consolation race by one spot. Kind of frustrated with the past month or so as I haven’t been feeling that great from fighting this sinus sickness and managing the body in the Florida heat. Riding was okay and I had fun out there hitting some big jumps in front of the large crowd that showed up but I’ve got to have more energy and push harder if I want to do well.

Spent the week visiting family on the farm in Michigan and am feeling a little better going into the Baja Brawl this weekend for the last big race of the summer for me.

Our first real take on the great outdoors and you know what. It wasn’t that bad. Some bad days. Some worse days, but a few moments that completely changed my outlook and drive for the present and future. I found my love for moto again. I’m happy with the people around me. And that’s more rare than I’d ever imagine. It’s been fun grind but sometimes I lose myself. I’m a runner. But I’m slowly learning to reflect. I will be better. Thanks to everyone involved with the @quadlockhonda team this year. You’ve all played a big part in my life in making the impossible seem possible. Thanks @yarrivek for believing in me,pushing me to the highs and picking me from the lows. Sorry for the reflection post. I’m just feeling emo. I will stop now. Love you all.-narco

@promotocross Budds Creek National was a little frustrating. I got my fastest lap in the first qualifying session (which was my only clean lap) taken away for failing sound again but I was still sitting in a spot to get to race the Consolation race. The light rain that had been hitting us all morning turned into a downpour right before the second qualifying session and I was super excited to race a muddy consolation race and let the chaos ensue since I usually do solid in those conditions. Unfortunately the officials decided to cancel Qualifying 2 and the consolation race to start getting the track ready for the main races so that was the end of my race day.

Still was a cool trip seeing some friends, eating crab near the Chesapeake, and getting to ride an amazing track even if it was only for one 15 minute session. Last round at Ironman this weekend, let’s end it on a good note.

Planned to be headed north of the border this week for the final @triplecrownseries round at the Walton National but ended up getting pretty sick with some sort of sinus cold last week. Going to get back in the groove this week and then go rip Budds Creek next week.

It’s been a super cool summer of racing and looking forward to finishing it off strong. Thanks to @825_photos for all the pics from a very fun practice day @wwranchmx a few weeks back.
