Happy Mid-Summer from Kimchi Krew Books!

We hope all of our readers, book lovers, and even our “almost readers” are enjoying an amazing summer so far!

We’ve been a little quiet lately, but behind the scenes we’ve been hard at work dreaming up new stories, exciting ideas, and fun surprises!

We can’t wait to share what’s coming next, and we think you’re going to love it! Until then, keep reading, keep exploring, and keep making summer memories.

Stay tuned… there’s more to come! ☀️

What a beautiful way to wrap up our last in-person Sprout House day of the season 🌱✨

For Career Day Part 2, our students had the opportunity to learn from THREE incredible guest speakers, and each one brought something so unique, creative, and inspiring to the table.

✍🏽 Sheryl, @activityauthor activity author, content creator, and planner, shared what it looks like to turn creativity into impact. From writing books to creating engaging activities and content, she showed our students that being an author can look so many different ways. The kids loved hearing about her journey, her YouTube channel, and all the amazing places her work has been featured!

🦷 Dr. Justin Sanders @dr_jsanders of Sanders Dental Studio, also known as the Dancing Dentist, taught our students all about dental health, how he became a dentist, and the importance of taking care of their teeth. But what made it extra fun was seeing how he combines dance, music, and creativity into his work. Yes… there was definitely a Gracie’s Corner dance break involved 😂

🎥 Mr. AJ Williams @aj_creativityevolved , founder of The Creative Cornerstone, introduced our students to the world of media, cinematography, photography, and acting. The students got hands-on experience learning camera basics, dressing up as different careers, and taking photos of one another while exploring storytelling through media.

We say this all the time, but exposure matters.

Sometimes all it takes is one conversation, one experience, or one moment for a child to realize what’s possible for their future.

We are beyond thankful for every speaker who poured into our students this year and helped make learning come alive 💛

Black History Month is in full swing at @angelic_minds_academy
Our wonderful students worked together to create something truly special.
They painted, they pasted and celebrated through art.
Take a look at the final masterpiece: “Our Black is Beautiful"
Because representation matters.
Because identity matters.
Because they should always see beauty in who they are.
Because tiny hands can send a big message.
Because we don't just learn history, we celebrate it.
We don't learn to play, we play to learn.
Thank you @activityauthor for the idea.
