Here’s a list of this year’s scholarship prizes 🍾 Each prize is designed to support the winner’s progression as as an actor through graduation and into the industry. A huge thank you to all the prize givers this year, it would be impossible to do this without you 🎓

I’ve learnt that casting team are my corner as they want me to do a good job, and also that getting asked to tape as a good thing. Click the @actonthistv affiliate link in my bio to hear the full podcast! 😊❤️🎭 #takeitorleaveit #focusonmycraft #getmyselfoutthere #casting #autisticactresslife

Nobody warns you that when you leave a corporate job, you also lose the thing that kept your work sharp: someone checking it before it goes out. For 15 years I couldn’t publish anything without a second pair of eyes on it first. That’s how we caught mistakes. Now my Spotlight profile is my shopfront and there’s no one but me to catch a weak headshot or a showreel with no title on it. So I built my own quality control process. I treat my profile like a marketing campaign. I write it the way I’d write for a brand. Then I hand it to Claude with a proper brief and ask it to review it like a casting director scanning fifty profiles in an afternoon, and I tell it not to hold back. It’s not going to replace an actual casting director’s eye. It does catch the small stuff that costs you a click: a stamp sized headshot, a credit with no context, guidelines you skimmed instead of read, generic wording that doesn’t help me standout. Swipe for exactly how I do it. Comment “STANDOUT” and I’ll send you the exact prompt I use. #actorlife #actorproblems #auditiontips #selftape #castingdirector
