POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We are about to reach 2,000 followers on Instagram! We can’t believe the amount of love our little group has received in such a short amount of time! Thank you to our friends and followers for supporting our group and trusting us to create a safe space for all dykes, lesbians, trans guys and girls, non binary queers, sapphics, and all who find themselves under this umbrella.

To celebrate, we’re offering the chance to win ONE custom art piece by local artist, Adair Carroll (he/him). Adair creates illustrations of his imaginations that are inspired by the people he meets, the places he goes to, the music he listens to, favorite medias and his life experiences; creating stories and characters into them with a hint of fantasy! (@actuallyadair)

We can’t wait to pick a lucky winner when we hit 2,000 followers! Good luck!!

When everything around you feels unstable, you lock in and build something solid… not just for yourself, but so the people you love have a place to stand. That’s the real “why” behind these past few months.

It’s been a beautiful, chaotic grind. Whether I’m holding it down at the food hall or putting in late-night work with the crew, every ounce of energy is focused on creating spaces where our people can thrive.

And speaking of building something real… the Triangle Skate Collective is officially, legally a non-profit! Huge shoutout to Mike from Manifest Skateshop and our boy Charlie (the ultimate homie) for carrying this vision. We are locked in on the DIY Scrap Exchange skatepark project here in Durham. We’re building this from the ground up because our community deserves it. P.S. Whoever took the ramps, let’s talk about finding a way to #GiveBackTheRamps to the community.

Also, to be fully transparent about what it takes to keep pushing forward when things get heavy. Behind the scenes, it’s been a battle. My mom has been fighting cancer, and honestly, trying to figure out which way is up on any given day has been incredibly hard. There are mornings where just waking up and finding the grit to support myself… let alone show up for anyone else… feels like an uphill climb.

That’s why these videos of my family laughing, my friends hyping each other up, and everyone just existing together mean everything to me. They aren’t just casual background moments… they are the exact reason I show up. They are the reminder that we aren’t meant to carry these weights alone. It takes real struggle to keep building when your personal world feels upside down, but creating space in this community gives me the strength to keep moving.

I really want to send a massive thank you to my friends, my family, and every single person who has checked in, shared a laugh, or supported my mom. Thank you to everyone who makes me feel whole. Let’s keep building and getting through it together.

Also there are so many more people than who's in these photos which reminds me I need to get back behind the camera.
