Girl Dinners are mandatory and it’s even better when one of your favorite restaurants has a girl dinner on the menu to celebrate girlhood achievements!
Start with lumpia (rolled by a favorite gal of mine) and then get the Filipino Cesar Salad (frog song farms greens, tinapa aioli, cured egg, pandesal crumble, kalamansi) and Filipino Rigatoni (ningang’s beef bolognese, spam, aged gouda, a touch of sweetness, a lot of love) and finish it off with a seasonal mochi donut.

……where to begin! What a year it has been. Thank you to the Papi’s Burritos Community for making this an incredible anniversary and an incredible year. I feel BEYOND fortunate to be here in a space with people I love sharing food and good vibes. That’s what it’s all about for me. Thank you to everyone that showed up yesterday and to everyone who show up continually at Papi’s; the customers, the friends, the family, the kiddos, the staff. Papi’s has all your energy and love in it which is why this year has been so incredible- cheers to many more memories, more burritos and more community!

New coffee shop alert! This one is in an indoor racket ball club on OBT. It sounded odd at first, but I had the best time watching people play while I waited for my drinks cheering on strangers. One even came to chat after and we talked pickleball. So don’t feel weird going in there.
These drinks are well done. What I tried at @saiko.orl
🥭 Mango Sticky Rice Matcha - really delicious, on the sweeter side, but not overly so, and it was really creamy. Mango flavor is prominent.
🍊 Spiced Mont Blanc - cold brew with orange oil, 6 spice cloud, nutmeg. Light and citrusy. Best when you blend everything together.
🥜 Peanut Butter Latte - roasted peanuts, peanut butter, cream. Not many places can nail a peanut butter drink but think one is fantastic! If you like peanut butter this one will be enjoyable.
There were several other drinks, I can’t wait to go back and try more. Prices on the signature drinks varied from $6-$8. Tons of easy parking. Check their insta for soft opening hours. #orlando

I am SO happy @blackphin_orl has taken over the counter space inside @all_inclusive_crossfit in the old Lombardi’s Seafood space. I love their drinks, and the space is made to be inviting with seating and decor you can purchase from @kiwi.and.fern as well. The space is open to all, you do not have to be a CrossFit member to enjoy a coffee. Hours are Monday - Saturday 9-3 and the address is 1152 Harmon Ave, Winter Park. #orlandocoffee

Press preview night at this awesome new spot in @eastendmkt by @smallfoodgroup (of @domufl @toritoripub @edoboysushi and @rionsoceanroom)

Featuring a 9-seat Japanese-style Gyukatsu (gyu=beef, specifically wagyu and katsu=breaded, flash-fried cutlets) finished by you on a hot stone grill—this is absolutely an experience you’ll want to repeat with friends and/or on a date night. ❤️

Soft opening to the public runs from January 16th until the 19th, 4 - 9pm, walk-ins only, no reservations

and will be soft opening on January 16th! Chef @sonn_y and his team did a fantastic job!

Here’s a preview of what’s to come!

The set meal is:
* Lightly breaded and fried Wagyu cutlet
* Barley koshihikari rice
* Suimomo soup
* Cabbage salad
* Potato Salad
* House pickles
* Onion Sauce
* House Soy
* Fresh wasabi

Don’t sleep on the Matcha Pudding!

The beef is sliced and served rare with a hot stone grill so guests can cook to their preferred temperature.

At Gyukatsu Rose, their wagyu comes from the legendary 100% Japanese Tajima and their proprietary cut is crafted exclusively for them.
