The outdoor kitchen is finally coming together as a functional yet unconventional kitchen. Hooking up a @dometic propane/electric fridge was a major upgrade and an absolute game changer. Stainless steel counters from @rmuwhistler are incredible for keeping a clean surface. Clean drinking water courtesy of @acuvatech and @conscious_water is essential for clean drinking water via well then water cistern. We’re using a tool chest for a pantry and a non-functioning wine fridge to keep mice out of our food and plate ware. All in all, we couldn’t be happier with where we’re currently at.

After a couple of years of boondocking, I’ve found a few absolute game-changers I can’t live without:

1. Level Mate Pro – Saves us from those frustrating ‘is the rig actually level?’ moments.

2. Tire Pressure Monitor – Gives me major peace of mind on long hauls.

3. Dash Cam – Caught everything from beautiful wildlife to that one time our rig fell apart. Ours is from @redtiger_dashcam

Gave our fresh water system a birthday with a new water filter system from Acuva. Perfect system for our almost 40 year old boat with most likely “questionable” water quality in the tank. The drinking water now goes from the tank via a carbon/silver cartridge filter and then through a UV-LED filter which should kill off anything nasty.

Our 300L stainless tank which sits under the saloon floor also got a scrub and rinse before changing out all the old fresh water hoses for new food safe lines. Should now be good drinking water but if anyone’s knows of a good water test kit let us know. 👌

This is how we do water on our off grid homestead. We have a solar pump on our own well and a 2500 gallon water tank to store the water in. We keep the tank full and one day I would like to get an even bigger tank because not everyday is sunny just because we are in Arizona 😁 and if there is a week with no sun, that means there is no water being pumped.
No water for the garden for more than a day in the summer here, and everything dies.... soooo.... there's some pressure on us 😄
Anyway, the cabin is connected to the water tank and has a pressure pump. We filter our water through our @acuvatech UV water filter(use code MAVERICKMAMA10 for 10% off or use link in bio), and then I use our @mayuwater swirler to restructure the water before we drink it(use code TARALOWTHER for $15 off or link in bio). We have to drink a lot of water here to stay hydrated, and sometimes I will put a spoon of molasses or a pinch of @redmondrealsalt for electrolytes. We love to flavor with fresh fruits and herbs. Water quality was a big reason we wanted to live here. We are on a very good aquifer. The taste difference between here and tap or bottled water is incredible. Our well water tastes so much better. The last thing you want on a camping trip is to get sick from your RV water! That’s why many people don’t even drink out of their fresh water tank and instead opt for water bottles!!

But you are not taking advantage of the water you already have and could be limiting you camping time by running out of water!

We are always drinking out of our fresh water tank, using the water for our hiking packs, cooking and drinking!

Water Options:

The @acuvatech water purifier was a game changer for our camping trips because it allows us to drink from our 90 gallon fresh water tank and never be worried about getting sick or running out of water!

Some rely on a @britausa filled with water from their tank for drinking purposes. Coupled with regular sanitation of their water tanks, this approach ensures a clean and refreshing water supply but is more time consuming.
