Hey Texans!

My name is Adalee Updegraff, and I am running for the College of Liberal & Fine Arts Congressperson position. I am a junior Communications major with a focus in Journalism and Broadcasting, along with a minor in Marketing.

I’m originally from Corsicana, Texas, where I completed all of my grade school years and graduated at 16. That experience shaped my drive, independence, and passion for staying involved and making a difference.

Here at Tarleton, I work in Student Engagement and Success as part of the social media marketing and photography team. Through this role, I get to showcase Tarleton pride by capturing meaningful moments between students and staff at events across campus. I also run my own photography business, where I’ve built strong, personal connections with many Tarleton students, especially seniors celebrating major milestones.

If elected, my goal is to strengthen communication between students and leadership, create more opportunities for involvement, and ensure that every student in Liberal & Fine Arts feels heard, valued, and represented. I want to help build a community where everyone feels confident stepping in, getting involved, and making an impact.

I am so excited for what’s ahead and for the opportunity to connect with all of you. Thank you so much for your support, it truly means everything!

To say we love Tarleton is an understatement.

Our team is focused on achieving our goals by embodying Tarleton’s core values. We know how important it is to respect every student and our campus, to lead with integrity, and to give 100% effort while striving for excellence in everything we do.

If you want to learn more or ask any questions, we’ll be tabling today at the Rec Center. Come stop by, grab some refreshments — we’d love to hear from you!
