So if I had to describe my music in one sentence, I would say it is judgment-free and in the moment.

What do you think of the Korean jazz scene? I was really impressed. I’m not the most well-traveled person, but in general, when you leave New York, you often feel the level drop a bit. I didn’t feel that at all in Korea.

I think I started trying to learn jazz more seriously in my second year of high school.

The city we moved to wasn’t the most musically inclined place, but there were definitely a few talented people. We got together and played a lot.

I could just play along with him, and everything I played would fit. Looking back, I think that was a really good idea. It got me involved with music before I had to think about it too much.

“Stay Still” tour continues today as we play in Rochester NY. I feel a deep sense of connection with upstate NY, particularly Rochester NY as my time at the Eastman school of music was very pivotal in my development as a pianist and composer. My new album Stay Still is out today on most streaming platforms. (Except for Spotify) Stay Still is a project that means so much to me. So much more than I can put into words. Every song on this album is a time stamp to some of the highest and lowest seasons of my life. Stay Still is a reminder to be still even in the midst of uncertainties knowing that God is always there with me. All thanks to God almighty for the gift of music and for making me cross paths with all the beautiful people who poured their hearts into this project. This is a collaborative project as every song has evolved over several years of gigging constantly with @adam.aronesty @chidifromthevoid and @zachwalgren1 . Special thanks to @aaron_oue @temidayo_balogun and @namisamdlalose for their contributions to this offering. Big thanks to @therealchrisallen33 @teanecksoundstudio @uncleola @allen.farnham. Thank you for your contributions, support and mentorship. This is my offering to the world and I’m thankful that I am able to share this with you. I continue to learn from every one and everything around me and I’m looking forward to what lies ahead. For now, It is my hope that you can feel and take something from this music as you listen.
