Temple Horns Class of 2025 🦉🍒
Seven of our cherished Temple Horns graduated last year, namely: Jonathan Bywater, Hannah Eide, Aidan Lewis, Sander Marøy, Nick Welicky, Ethan Stanfield, and Natalie Haynes.
The former four have brought their talents to Rice’s Shepherd School of Music, the Manhattan School of Music, Yale University, and University of Stavanger (Norway), respectively while Nick will join the owls for one more year to pursue his Professional Studies degree, Natalie is currently applying for DMA programs and Ethan is freelancing in NYC.
We couldn’t be more proud!

I have finally graduated with my bachelors in music performance!!! The last four years at Temple have been more meaningful to me than I could possibly put into words. I have met the most incredible people here, friends and faculty alike. Before coming to Temple, I had been so close to giving up on my dreams to pursue a career in horn. The wonderful teachers I have worked with here and my amazing friends and colleagues have helped me achieve things I never thought possible for myself.
I am also happy to announce that I will be heading to Manhattan School of Music this fall to pursue my masters in horn performance under the guidance of Richard Deane of the New York Philharmonic. Thankful for all the support I have gotten along the way :)
A special thank you to my teacher, Ernie Tovar, for his guidance over the last few years, I would not be here without his support!!

I’ve officially completed my Masters degree at Temple! Thank you so much to everyone who supported me during my time here! I’ll be staying for one more year as a student in the Professional Studies Certificate program.

The last two years have helped me to grow so much both as a musician and a person. I am incredibly grateful that I got to share my years here with the best friends, teachers, and roommates that anyone could ask for. You all mean so much to me, and I am so thankful to have you in my life ❤️

While I’m very sad that everyone is going their separate ways for this next year, I’m excited to see the great things that you’ll all do in the future! I love you all so much and it’s been a pleasure to spend this time with you!

So proud of Roy who premiered his piece as part of the New Cannon Project and is soon to be published!

I’m infinitely grateful for the chance to do what we love and to share these experiences with such amazing people.

Here’s to many more weeks like this one!
