Excited to announce the first DJ of the first Nancy Boy. Kicking things off on Friday November 6 is a dear friend and an amazing DJ: @adam.unknown

Adam Unknown is a DJ and visual artist who’s forged a special sweetness in the dance music scene in Boston. Moving to Brooklyn in 2024 and now landing in the woods of Rhode Island, he’s a New Englander who knows the underground Queer nightlife scene. His selections and mixing pulls together all elements of rave, infused with the dramatic queerness he experiences & expresses at any of his nights out. Adam’s sets span tempo, genres, and decades of dance music, slipping between the realms of bass, 2step, drums, experimental, and breakbeat, based on a deep foundation of house, soulful vocals, techno, electro, and trance-adjacent body-movers. With ease and playfulness he is able to explore a deep knowledge of club sounds with prowess, both locking in a vibe and stretching a dance floor out. Beyond honing his own artistic practice, Adam is also one of the co-founders and residents of Boudoir, Break-Fast and Nightrider, some of the premier DIY queer underground dance music series

Nancy Boy
Fri Nov 6 · 10PM–2AM · 168 York St · 21+
Tickets at the link in bio.

BASEMENT NEW YORK ❤️‍🔥

Still feeling the energy from last night. What an incredible night. The energy in that room was unreal, and I felt such a strong connection between the crowd and me from beginning to end. One of those sets where everything just clicks and you completely lose yourself in the moment. 🥹

Thank you @tea_abashidze and @gega_japaridze for trusting me again and giving me the space to do what I love. I had the absolute best time ever. ❤️

And a huge thank you to @kiko.angelovski and Chucky. You were amazing and made the night even more special.

And of course, to all my friends who came out to see me play, danced with me and brought so much energy to that room. It means so, so much to me. Truly. ❤️

New York, you were incredible.

Till next time. ❤️‍🔥

Bearmania 2026 DJ line up was dominated by a powerhouse of fierce women 💦 . I am super charged from a week with my chosen Queer family. It’s like summer camp every year, getting to see all the sweet babes gathering on the dance floors, beaches, and streets of P town. F🔻G B🔻SH was an extra special one. Everyone shared space in such a loving communal way. True togetherness. The deepest gratitude for the trans women who slayed our hearts and bodies this week- @_female_trouble_ , Sister Zo, @thebaptist.mp3 , and our beloved NYC Mom @djnita. So psyched to have the Queen rascal in town, aka @vickipowell . @charleneincarnate and @tylerjashley elevated our @horse_meat_disco experience. Very bummed to have missed @carriemorrisons and @coupdestace , but word on the street is it was 🔥. Thank you Dad, @thefatherfigure , for femme’festing that empowered progressive line up. P town needed it. @_bearmania_ has always been the Queer’r edgier side of 🐻 Week. This year was a statement that fully delivered. Love you all so so much. I’m so lucky to have this family that grows deeper each year 🖤. And the 🍒 on top, our core crew slumber party all week at @feelz_free Truro oasis 🏝️ 🪵 💕. #bearmaniaptown #transwomenaregoddesses
