FMP exhibition + final work

This is now the end of my time at the brit school with @vadbritschool and I couldn’t be more proud of the work I’ve created and the work all of my friends have done aswell. This FMP gave us all so much room to explore and develop our creative styles and I’ve loved watching everyone’s projects develop. Here is my final work.
Thank you to everyone who came to the exhibition, all my teachers and friends and those who have supported me throughout this time @sisaye2bay especially 🥹
We moving on to bigger and better things now!

WE ARE NOT HUMAN — ZINE
A zine from the perspective of a worker ant seeing how similar they are to the working class humans.

Throughout history and across cultures, the labour of the working class has been persistently undervalued, absorbed into systems that rely on their endurance while stripping their individuality. In nature, ants exist within strict hierarchies, devoting their lives to sustaining the colony and serving the queen. This project draws a parallel between these structures and capitalism, where power is concentrated among the few while the many work for survival. Through mechanisms of control, fear, and economic dependence, the working class is rendered both essential and invisible, mirroring the quiet, relentless work of ants.
Working across graphics and fashion design, I use my creative practice to expose and challenge this dynamic.  I aim to transform the “worker ant” from a symbol of submission into one of collective strength. Just as ant colonies are vital to the natural world, the working class underpins society, yet remains undervalued. This project seeks to make that labor visible, reframing the worker not as an ant, but as an individual with a name and a face.
