POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Well, here we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of Antichrist Superstar. The album that influenced my young adult self to embrace being different, and creative. The only album I could think of prior, and post, was Faith No More’s “Angel Dust” album.

I spent many hours with this band, met some of the best people due to the connection, and I’m still meeting people today because of the experiences I’ve had with Marilyn Manson.

I’m still in touch with Alison, and she is doing exceptionally well. I’ll cherish the memories of frequenting shows with her and Janette. I love seeing the photos we took together, and how young and shot out of the cannon we were. Growing up is hard everyone. I’d go back to 1996-97 in a heartbeat. Special thank you to @adamdevilleart for reconnecting us 7 years ago.

The stuff you see in the photos are all from that era. The passes, photos, flats, adoption papers, stage worn arm stockings, ripped bible pages, torn set lists, and fan club materials. Zepp (IYKYK) signed the Manson flat. Rip man. You were a legend.

I got to see Manson with my friend @xdesy313x about a month ago. And while it wasn’t 1996, it was cool seeing Manson perform after decades of not going anymore. Also, Nik fucking rules. Thanks for meeting me in this life journey brotha and reminding me to have that rebellious attitude again. I needed that wake up call.

If I learned anything from being a fan, it’s be yourself. Don’t let someone else shape you if it feels wrong. I fell into that trap late in life and it felt dirty. Go back to your roots and see what influenced you to be your authentic self. Don’t change for a job, a partner, or because society says otherwise. This isn’t new information, but one person told me a few months ago, words to live by.

“ Everyone else is already taken, so just be yourself.”

I have really enjoyed seeing all the footage over the past couple days of the antichrist superstar tour dates. They are limited, so if you have a chance to check it out, I’d encourage it if you didn’t see it 30 years ago.

Thank you to everyone that came down to see the art show Vidrio and fundraiser for CMWC.

Artworks went home, raffle tickets were sold, and the bike auctioned successfully. A total of $4,200 was raised for the CMWC event, supporting the Sydney bicycle messengers.

Couldn’t have been done without the help of Noni and Bligh at @goodspacegallery, @sir_this_is_a_mcdonalds_ holding down the art table, and @paddingtonfan1995 listening to my rambling anxiety texts while stuck in traffic on the way.

The artists on the line-up are so talented and I thank them each for taking time out of their own work to create something new for this- especially to those who explored painting on glass for the first time.

Our first of four dark and sombre acoustic sessions is coming this Sunday. We'll be playing all the songs from the first two EPs that we never get to play live. It's been an interesting process reworking them with the new four-piece line-up to bring a different kind of emotional weight. We can't wait to play them for you. Event link in our bio.

The void awaits.
