🌎 A new chapter for Bound4Adventure

Bound4Adventure officially launched in 2011, but the journey started long before that. I started taking my children hiking when they were very young. My children Adam and Judi were toddlers when I took them on multiday backpacking trips.

Those experiences helped shape the way I see adventure today: it should be meaningful, accessible, and tailored to the people experiencing it.

Over the years, I’ve traveled to 20+ countries across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and North America, while continuing to explore hiking, backpacking, family adventure, and outdoor travel.

My passion isn’t simply visiting destinations—it’s figuring out how to experience them well. Now I’m excited to take Bound4Adventure into its next chapter as a @foratravel advisor, combining my outdoor and travel experience with professional trip-planning resources.

Whether you’re dreaming about an active adventure, a family trip, a cultural journey, or a trip that combines outdoor experiences with comfortable accommodations, I’d love to help turn the idea into a thoughtfully planned journey.

More adventures ahead. 🌎🥾

⚠️ watch till the end.

The adventure started long before the climb.

An early morning ojek (hired motorbike) ride winding through the villages and mountain roads toward the Sindoro trailhead was an experience in itself.

Sometimes the journey to the mountain is just as meaningful as the summit. Sitting on the back of that ojek reminded us that adventure begins the moment you leave your comfort zone.

Next stop: Gunung Sindoro. ⛰️🏍️

Gunung Sindoro 🌋✅
Distance: 9 km (5.6 mi) RT
Elevation Gain: 1,400 m (4,600 ft)
Total Time: 15 hrs

Nine years after life brought us back together, my son and I stood side by side on the slopes of Gunung Sindoro.

Standing above the clouds, watching the sunrise over Central Java, made every aching muscle worth it. Mountains have a unique way of bringing people together, turning shared challenges, breathtaking views, and unforgettable journeys into lasting bonds and cherished memories.

Until the next adventure.

From tiny footsteps on forest trails to standing side by side as men, the bond between a father and son is built one adventure at a time.

It starts with small hands reaching for guidance, curious eyes discovering the world, and endless questions asked along the way. Through winding roads, mountain paths, camping nights, and journeys to places near and far, memories are woven into every shared experience.

Nature has a way of teaching lessons words cannot. Patience from watching a sunrise. Courage from crossing a river. Gratitude from standing beneath a sky full of stars. And through it all, a father’s presence becomes both a compass and a safe harbor.

As the years pass, the adventures may change, but the connection remains. The little boy grows into a man, yet every trail traveled together, every story shared, and every moment spent exploring the beauty of the world becomes part of a bond that time can never fade.

Some of life’s greatest journeys aren’t measured in miles, but in the memories made together. 💕🧑‍🧒

Sometimes as much as seen the snake I love seeing peoples reactions to snakes! — many of these folks had fear with getting near or holding these snakes so capturing their raw expressions is priceless. Makes me happy every time when someone overcomes their fears of snakes :)

https://gofund.me/2ec8b92a Hello Everyone my name is Adam. I have recently been having a lot of stressful situations in the past few months of this year which has caused me to be really low financially. I have been planning my 20th birthday for the past 3 years due to finding out it lands on the April 8th 2024 United States Solar Eclipse. It is really stressful and saddening to me that i unfortunately don’t have the money to make this trip work due to flight costs and hotel prices since i would need to fly from Seattle to Texas. But it would mean a lot if any of you guys could help donate to my fund so i can afford to go. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. If you choose not to donate I 100% understand but thank you for reading this anyways. Hope all of you have a good day and talk soon :) - Adam
