MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! 🥇🏆

After a heartbreaking loss on a last-second 3-pointer in the gold medal game in Tucson last year, our STL Maccabi 17U team got another shot—and this time, they finished the job.

STL Maccabi defeated South Jersey in overtime to win the FIRST EVER GOLD MEDAL for STL Maccabi! 🥇💙

This gold medal isn’t just for this group of players. It’s for every player who has worn STL Maccabi across their jerseys over the past several years. Every practice, every game, every tough loss, and every player who helped build this program brought us to this moment.

I couldn’t be more proud of the growth of these guys—not just as basketball players, but as teammates and young men.

A special shoutout to Noah Murov @noah_murov22 who played in four Maccabi Games, and Will Becker @will_becker15 who played in three. Watching these guys grow through multiple Maccabi experiences and finally see them reach the top makes this one even more special.

And what a way for Coach Roger Siwak to celebrate his 25th Maccabi Games—leading this group to the first gold medal in STL Maccabi history. There couldn’t be a more fitting milestone for someone who has dedicated so much to Maccabi and to these kids.

STL Maccabi GOLD MEDALISTS. 🥇

This one is for everyone who helped build the legacy.
Mission accomplished. 💙🏆

What does it mean to be a Rimshot? This isn’t just a rec basketball team or some joke. It’s a brotherhood. For the past three years, this organization has held a special place in all of our hearts, giving us moments of accomplishment and moments of anguish.

We cannot thank the fans and friends of this organization enough for their unconditional support. Your dedication to the Rimshots has been nothing short of special.

Toward the end of this season, injuries to Sam Manlin and Jake Winograd began to take their toll. As the weeks went on, the focus of the rest of the squad started to slip. Fewer and fewer Shots showed up to each game, forcing us to compete with only the five stallions we had available. Eventually, when even one of those five couldn’t make it, the wheels seemed to fall off the bus.

We ended up missing three games in a row, which brought a tragic and unexpected elimination to the team we hold so dearly in our hearts.

In response to this heartbreaking defeat, the athletes and coaches have planned a special retreat this week to Cancun, Mexico, in an attempt to clear our minds and reset.

Once a Shot, always a Shot. It has been an absolute pleasure spending these three years with such a special group of players and friends.

For one final time,

WHAT A START. The boys in black and blue took down Team McNeal of Parkway West by a score of 48-17. Peak performances from the fellas, and an absolute LOCKDOWN performance from the defense, giving up only 2 points in the first half. We own this league, nobody comes close, Gabe Fields is him. Player of the game is Maddog, kids automatic.

🏀 Maccabi Monday 🏀

The night that started our medal run. The Ladue 4 high off a win against CBC in the MICDS Tournament decided they wanted to return to the JCC Maccabi Games to represent Team Saint Louis after a year off. 🤝

These guys worked tirelessly to help us recruit our squad and put STL Maccabi on the map. 🗺️
