Ghostface mask changed in every film since Scream in 1996 👻 #didyouknow

••••••••••••

Scream (1996): Uses the "Gen 1" mask, It is known for its thinner, more organic, and slightly "crooked" appearance

Scream 2 (1997) - Gen 2: Switched to a "Fearsome Faces" mold. This version had a less curved right eye, more pronounced cheeks

Scream 3 (2000) - EU Tag: The mask was officially trademarked as "Ghost Face" during this production. It featured more smoothly curved eyes for a sleeker look

Scream 4 (2011) - Deluxe Edition: Introduced the "Deluxe Movie Edition" mask, which was made of thicker rubber with a glossier, pearlescent finish. Its eyes were spaced slightly further apart than in previous entries

Scream (2022): Used a version similar to Scream 4 but made of even thicker vinyl. The standard polyester shroud was replaced with a custom cotton fabric shroud for better on-screen appearance

Scream VI (2023) - Aged/Decayed: This film featured the most significant visual change by using original masks belonging to past killers. These varied from newer-looking masks (Richie's) to the heavily weathered, cracked, and blood-stained "original" mask from Billy Loomis

Scream 7 (2026): Continues the modern design of the 2022 film with thicker vinyl and an updated hood
