Meet Aaron Clarke and Marta Tuneu, the duo behind @adctuneu

In our latest Visionaries interview, featured in ISSUE 62 of SPACE, they talk about how their different backgrounds shape their hotel interiors and share their most recent work.

From the redesign of @stradomhouse in Kraków to @theshelborne in Miami Beach, their projects show how a multidisciplinary perspective shapes a timeless approach to design.

Next up is Casa Lucera, a members' club in San Juan, founded by Clarke and fellow ex-Soho House directors, due to open in 2027.

Overlooking Stockholm’s Old Town, Lake Mälaren and the creative island district of Södermalm, @sheratonstockholm has been a fixture of the Swedish capital since 1971 – the first @sheratonhotels location in Europe, it has cultivated a presence as a local landmark in its own right over the last five decades. Ushering the hotel into its next chapter, Barcelona-based studio @adctuneu has led the revival of its public spaces, unveiling a warm, expressive concept that pens a love letter to Sweden.

Careful to honour the building’s history, references to its original 1970s aesthetics and traditional pigments such as Falu red (used to paint the country’s iconic timber houses), are balanced by nods to Swedish design contemporaries such as fashion house @acnestudios and the signature floral motifs of @svenskttenn.

A very special evening celebrating us 🥂✨

Thank you @designetal for such a wonderful evening, surrounded by so many incredibly talented designers and companies all under one roof.

A huge milestone for us as a small independent design studio, and definitely one for the memory books. 🤍

Feeling very proud of how far we’ve come and excited for what’s ahead!

Thanks you to everyone who voted and supported us ✨

“The most interesting projects happen when you bring your own identity to a place without imposing it upon its character. Stockholm was always going to be Stockholm — just seen through our Barcelona eyes.”

For the redesign of Sheraton Stockholm, Barcelona-based @adctuneu brought together colour and pattern, Swedish design heritage, the spirit of the 1970s and a Mediterranean sensibility.

Located next to Beaufort Park in London, the development responds to the growing demand for rental homes centred on quality, connection and convenience.

The shared amenities include the Dear Coco café, a landscaped roof terrace on level 9, a state-of-the-art gym and a coworking area, where STUA Laclasica chairs with arms play a key role. The result is a warm interior, bold in its use of colour, with a distinctive identity that invites people to meet, work and connect.
