What an evening BRIDGES 2026 turned out to be! We're still thinking about some of those moments on stage and feeling so grateful to everyone who made the night what it was. ❤️

Swipe through for a little look back at the wonderful performances that made Fragments of Us – Becoming so special.

📸 @mjg.ddd

What a beautiful way to begin the evening! Momiji brought such energy to the stage, with the powerful Taiko drums and expressive movement setting the tone for everything that followed. A wonderful reflection of this year's theme, Becoming.

Four creative minds, four different disciplines, and one shared work. Watching our BRIDGES cohort find common ground while making room for each other's ideas was wonderful. This spirit of collaboration is exactly what BRIDGES is about, and we loved seeing their work come together!

We're still in awe of Ad Deum's performances! This Woman's Work was deeply moving, and Perichoresis was simply spectacular. The precision, energy, and extraordinary emotion conveyed through every movement left us absolutely spellbound. What a privilege to have witnessed it!

What phenomenal performances from the dancers of SMU! The duet was incredibly moving, with such beautiful chemistry and emotion between the two dancers. The solo was equally captivating, and together, the works showed such remarkable maturity and depth. We couldn't be more excited about the next generation of dance talent!

It was lovely to welcome Collin College back to BRIDGES! Pearls, in the Making was a graceful and touching reflection on the bonds that connect us. There was something especially beautiful about seeing these young dancers come together to tell that story through movement. Such a pleasure to watch!

The UTRGV Dance Company, under the direction of Professors Gamborino, Garcia, and Laurenzi, traveled with 12 company members to the Bailando International Dance Festival, hosted at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi.

Our UTRGV dancers embraced incredible opportunities throughout the festival, participating in exhilarating master classes, auditioning for scholarships, and performing in adjudicated concerts!

Two works were presented in the adjudicated concerts: LUMEN by Professor Garcia, and We begin, again by Professor Laurenzi. Additionally Détente choreographed by Professor Gamborino, was presented in the festival’s showcase category.

Adding to the excitement, Professor Gamborino served as an adjudicator and taught an energizing Latin Jazz master class, while Professor Laurenzi led a contemporary class titled Contemporary from the Ground Up. We are also proud to celebrate three UTRGV students who were awarded scholarships to attend various dance intensives: Mariela Franco, Natalia Montiel and Marlen Zamora

Congratulations to all our UTRGV students and faculty on a remarkable and successful festival! Your talent, dedication, and artistry continue to make us proud!

We had the pleasure of sharing our love for modern dance at @bailandointernational this weekend. ✨

So many beautiful artists came together to explore and share what it means to be human through dance. We’re heading home feeling deeply inspired.

A special shoutout to @riverjthompson for the incredible care, support, and organization behind this festival.

And to our @addeumdanceco family, thank you for continuing to keep the flame of modern dance burning bright in Texas.

Until next time! 💗

Meet Ad Deum Dance Company, our guest headline for Bridges 2026!

All the way from Houston, this phenomenal contemporary dance company is part of our festival with a piece that speaks beautifully to our theme, 'Becoming.' We can’t wait to see how they bring that idea to life on stage.

There’s something really special about getting to bring artists from different places and practices into the same space, and having Ad Deum be part of Bridges means a lot to us.

Come see them, and the rest of the incredible lineup, at Bridges 2026, the biggest multidisciplinary event in Plano!

Head to the link in bio for early bird tickets!
