What a joy to create a one-of-a-kind art piece-collage in honor of Dr. Cheryl Lee’s retirement. This dentist has done so much for others & the @brooklandcivic wanted to show its gratitude. A Goodwill-found mat/frame was paired with cards from my Mom Barb along with clippings for old magazines and calendars highlighting Dr. Cheryl Lee’s service to the Greater Brookland community & beyond. Many good wishes on her next adventure! @findingyourgood #diy #reuse #thrifting #transformationtuesday #upcycle

Transform glassware, jars, and other items found on the shelves at Goodwill to turn into lights. Really! All you need is the special wireless cork light found online for just a few dollars. Now each and every corner of your house can have a little bit more brightness. #upcycle #diy #thrifting #repurpose #rethink

Door Refresh #2 is here! Small changes. Big impact. A little cleaning, some creativity, and a fresh perspective transformed this lower garden entrance into a welcoming outdoor retreat. Never underestimate the power of a good refresh! Goodwill-found items, a DIY bistro set, repurposed items—low costs, wonderful results. #diy #upcycle #reuse #transformationtuesday

Most people walk by the forgotten places. I almost did. This basement entrance serves renters, visitors, bikes, laundry, and, honestly it deserved better. A few Goodwill finds. A little color. Some flowers. A welcoming chair. Smiling sun art. Transformation isn’t always about major renovations. Sometimes it simply deciding that every corner of life is worthy of beauty. That’s becoming one of my favorite lessons. Thanks to @findingyourgood & @dcgoodwill for making every person & community worthy of beauty too. #diy #transformationtuesday #thrifting #transform

Hit 1,100 today and had to pause for a moment. Every piece, every post, post conversation has led here and it’s never been about the art. It’s about connection, creativity, and something bigger moving through all of us. Thanks for being part of this journey, more to come. #creativecommunity #gratitude #artistsoninstagram
