what a bittersweet 16 years,

to my parents thank you will never be enough. You were my first coaches, my biggest supporters, and the ones who never let me give up on myself. You carried me through moments I didn’t even have the strength to face on my own. I am who I am because of you.

to my Grandpa, Grandma, NaNa thank you for always showing up, for the sacrifices, the long days, and the unconditional love.

to my friends thank you for standing by me through the highs and lows, for understanding when softball took up so much of my life, and for loving me outside of the game.

thank you, Scott, Matt, Brett, and Naomi for pushing me, believing in me, and helping shape not just the player I became, but the person I am today. And to Kristi, Joe and Peyton for teaching me valuable life lessons.

to lacy, as I played my last game I couldn’t help but think as I hang up my cleats you get to lace yours up more often. I guess this means I am officially handing over #15, but knowing you’ll wear it fills me with so much pride. Love you kiddo.

skyler, thank you for being my peace in the chaos, for lifting me up when the days felt heavy, and for loving me through every version of myself.

Your former students take time to come back and suddenly your heart is very full, (even though one likes the Bears)! Seeing you grow, thrive and still be the same great humans means everything. Forever cheering you on and keeping the door open!
