LUKE 9:24 — “For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.”

8/23 marks a really special day for me. I got to publicly and externally express the change that God has made in my heart and my faith.

Although my relationship with the Lord has never been linear, I’ve found myself coming back to Him every time because of His goodness. I’ve seen His goodness through my friends, my family, and most of all, through the way He has changed my heart.

If letting go of my own desires comes at the cost of living a life full of abundant love, forgiveness, and faith, then that cost is a joy to me. I’m learning that losing the life I thought I wanted is nothing compared to the life God has for me.

I’d love for people to know that Jesus can work through any situation for your good. He may not have created your circumstances, but He can still use them for your good when you invite Him into them. I’ve seen that in my own life, and I’m so grateful that He continues to meet me where I am and change my heart.

There were a lot of celebrations for the Butler seniors and alumni. The Bulldogs won 3-1. Overall, an excellent afternoon for some Butler Soccer
