💕Alora’s Summer in the City: Auntie Edition. 🏙️✨

Three weeks in DC and my niece got the FULL experience. A little work, a lot of play, and plenty of Auntie adventures along the way. 😎🪭👛✈️🚆👙

Alora shadowed some impressive young professionals at Invariant and TAA PR, spent a day at CHANEL’s U.S. HQ, and got a front-row look at public service with the teams of Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), Sen. Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD), Sen. Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE), and Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC).

But summer is still supposed to SUMMER. ☀️ We co-hosted a Spelman pool party, popped up to NYC to tour the Met and Alvin Ailey’s Dance School, escaped to 🇨🇦Montréal for Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving Tour, and squeezed in fabulous brunches, lots of chocolate and some shopping!🛍️

Alora got a three-week crash course in my #LobbyistLady life: client meetings at The Ned, fundraisers, receptions, networking, and learning that sometimes the meeting after the meeting is the meeting. 😉🥂

A heartfelt thank you to all of our mentors and hosts for sharing your passion and experience with Alora! You opened her up to a world of possibilities!💙🌍💼

🖤Work. Play. Culture. Connection.🖤

Auntie’s Summer Camp is officially closed. Until next year. 😘✨

The #SpelHouse Tailgate always feels like coming HOME. It’s joy. It’s legacy. It’s pure HBCU magic.✨

This year was extra special—a full-circle moment returning as a newly-minted married SpelHouse couple, surrounded by Hassan’s brothers and the people who shaped us.

Nothing compares to the joy of reuniting with my #SpelHouse91 fam, hugging my beloved #HKSorors tight, and pouring into “my Littles” who are writing the next chapter at #Spelman. The love, the laughter, the legacy—it’s all right here.

This is our sacred space. Black excellence in real time. A family affair. And a reminder that our bond goes far beyond #theyard.

Hey ladies! My name is Addison Anders and I’m from DC. Spelman has been my dream school for as long as I can remember so I am 1000% committed!! I plan on double majoring in history and international relations on the pre-law track. I love to travel, shop, hang out with friends, and listen to music - especially Cleo Sol and Daniel Caesar. Please feel free to reach out! I can’t wait to meet everyone and make new friends! 🤍🩵
