Friday night (tomorrow!), I’m at @barettonyc on E 49th St 🍸 It’s of those places that gives the full experience. Sophistication and luxury in a beautiful listening room. I am really looking forward to being there again, this time with @addisonfrei, @dubonbass & @cbeckdrums.

Standards, soulful arrangements and some surprises.

Would love for you to join us! Reservations encouraged. A few guest spots also available through me. DM me ♥️

Why wasn’t I on the red carpet at the Cupertino premiere, you ask?!? 🤷🏾‍♀️

Because I was on the road singing my heart out, making new friends and keeping the old! ❤️

First stop, Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania.

To my band: “I get the joy of rediscovering you!” 🎶 On a party bus ride to the venue! 😂

And to that amazing sold-out crowd in Pennsylvania, what a thrill to meet you! Thank you for all the love and excitement. 🫶🏽

Then on to Colorado Springs, Colorado, for a blessed reunion with my beloved Chris Jackson. I missed him so much, I wouldn’t let him walk away! 🥹🥰

And lastly, here’s to my new bestie, Megan Hilty. We worked together on #CentaurWorld but had never met. She brought me a gift: a handmade Water Baby, my character on the show! 🧸💗

Funny how life works. Sometimes you think you’re missing out on something wonderful, only to find out you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. 🙌🏿

What a gift. ✨

I THOUGHT ABOUT YOU — OUT NOW.

For this song, I wanted to take only some fragments of melody and harmony and redesign them for a trio. The starting point was also Bobby Timmons and his trio with Sam Jones and Jimmy Cobb. But the real work began when we stopped trying to define everything. The rest was left to interplay, dynamics and interaction between the trio.

Mario Iannuzziello — upright bass
@addisonfrei — piano
@estratooos Diego Joaquin Ramirez — drums

I Thought About You is the third single from my upcoming album recorded at @bunkerstudio in New York.

What a beautiful thing to hear @spilata.tv slowing down the tempo and singing this beautiful song on his birthday. Luckily I was able to zip across that packed room just to capture this brilliant piano performance. Hearing his voice along with the sound of those keys, I undeniably heard the style of the man I call the god of the piano, @dannimmer I had no doubt that this pianist knew him, and @addisonfrei confirmed it right after the set, sharing that Dan had been his teacher at Juilliard. What a true musical present from the night.
It is very rare that I follow piano players as I only follow two, but tonight, I let him know he became the third.
