Winning the national championship is a dream come true and one of the greatest moments of my life. Standing there with my teammates, knowing that all of our hard work, sacrifices, and determination had finally paid off, is a feeling I will cherish forever. I am beyond grateful to my coaches for believing in me, pushing me to be my best, and never giving up on our team, even when things were difficult. I am so thankful for my teammates, who became my sisters and stood beside me through every practice, every challenge, and every victory. Most importantly, I want to thank my parents for their unconditional love, endless encouragement, and countless sacrifices that made this journey possible. They were always there to cheer me on, lift me up after tough days, and remind me to never stop believing in myself. This championship means so much to me, but it wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing people who supported me every step of the way. I will always be grateful for this unforgettable experience and the memories we created together.

Going from being ranked 51st to finishing 3rd at Nationals is truly an incredible accomplishment. I couldn’t be more proud of this team and everything we accomplished together. So much love for this sport 💙

This season I encountered many questions, obstacles, aches and pains, and mental struggles that almost brought me down. Everything would be going great, and all of a sudden an injury would occur, an unexpected change would have me questioning what I did wrong, and from my perspective, I couldn't win no matter how hard I worked.
Several times I had mental breakdowns, lost all my confidence, and thought life would be better without the constant stress of sports. I prayed SO much, tried to fix my attitude, and tried to approach obstacles with a different perspective...but nothing seemed to help me.
I always found myself back in my own head, tearing myself down. My mood depended on how my sports were going--and nothing else mattered.
After encountering countless injuries and pains over the club season, I developed tendonitis in my ankle from overuse during soccer and was out for the rest of that season. I had to sit out of volleyball practice as well.
Never in my career had I sat out from injury. I played through it no matter the pain, but for some reason I physically couldn't play through it this time.
I took this as an opportunity to be thankful for a healthy body that can walk, run, jump, lift, and basically do whatever I need it to. I realized how much I'd taken being able to play for granted.
As I got back into volleyball again, I felt like I had finally made a breakthrough and found the determination that I was missing...and then I rolled my ankle and was out once again.
Of course, my immediate reaction was anger towards the countless circumstances that would bring me down. I couldn't catch a break.
But, through it all, I was determined to break through this. I kept trusting God and instilled in my heart that God had a plan for me. Do I know what that plan is yet? Heck to the no. But I'm going to keep trusting it because it is 1000x better than mine could ever be.
I believe that God is holding me back from what I want, so he can show me his plan is far greater. If his way of holding me back for now is giving me physical and mental strife, so be it!
God is in the works through it all, and I will forever trust in him.
