How do you celebrate your birthday friend who is truly one of a kind? You flash mob him with 14 more of him during the group picture. ⚡️Billy and the Billy Wigs forever⚡️

I crawled into bed on Saturday night while our buddies chatted and giggled outside the camper, and I immediately realized my friends’ laughter calms my nervous system the same way birdsong in nature triggers calm. If my besties are snuggling and giggling, it means everyone is safe and no one is feeling too dysregulated, with no imminent threats in the environment. I love all of these dummies so goddamn much. Sometimes, it feels like we’re way too lucky ✨

Oh, @joshuatreemusicfestival ✨ my favorite place with my favorite humans. This spring’s festival felt more alive than ever, with so many opportunities for interactivity and lots of creative activations (new fave: PUPPET KARAOKE). At one point, we noticed and exclaimed, “the clowns and queers have taken over!” 🙏🏼💅🏼👑 The music was perfect and we danced forever (see below for my top sets), but my favorite memories at this festival are always the quiet unexpected moments of human connection in the desert light. The intimate conversations between friends, hugs and greetings for the reunions, creating art in the dirt with my besties, doing each other’s hair at camp, kids watching and imitating the aerial artists, bestie cuddle puddle in the shade while Poltzy serenades us, the way the light plays with the dust at the main stage sunset show while everyone congregates for the evening. I love the intimacy of this place and the intimacy it supports with these people. As Jon always says, JTMF is a wellspring of human kindness. It’s soooo good for me. (More friend-specific content to follow) 🪩🤡🌈✨

Today we recognize the women who pushed the door open — so others could walk through 💪

From ships to safety training grounds, women continue to show up, lead, and make this industry stronger every day.

To the women learning the ropes, fighting the fires, and stepping into spaces that once said “not for you” — we see you.

⚓ Tag a woman who inspires you.
Happy International Women’s Day.
