POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

25 years.

September 23, 2001
I married Monica.

And somehow 25 years went by way too fast.

I can genuinely say I love this woman more today than I did when I first met her. And I think she is more beautiful today than she was then. That’s not a lie and it’s not just something old guys are supposed to say after 25 years. I mean it.

The Bible says, “It is not good that the man should be alone.” Genesis 2:18

And Proverbs 18:22 says, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.”

I found a good thing.

We’ve actually been married twice.

The first time I married Monica I loved her, but I really had no idea what I was doing. I knew how to be married. I didn’t know how to be a husband.

Years later God gave me a revelation of what it actually meant to be a husband. So I proposed to her again. And we got married again. We renewed our vows because this time I understood the covenant I was making.

“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” Ephesians 5:25

That changed everything for me.

Marriage wasn’t about what I could get from Monica. It was about laying my life down for her.

And something beautiful happened.

When I started laying my life down for my wife, she started laying her life down for me.

And over the years God has taken two people with two sets of dreams, ambitions, opinions, emotions, desires and plans and taught us how to become two surrendered vessels building ONE unified life.

Not losing who we are. Becoming who we were always supposed to be together.

25 years later, she is still my best friend. My ride or die. My partner. The woman I want beside me for all of it.

Monica, I would choose you again.

And apparently I already did.

Happy 25th anniversary to us.

I love you more today than I did then.

And I’m still laying my life down for you.

Happy birthday to my beautiful wife, Monica ❤️

My ride or die, my best friend, my partner, and the love of my life.

I really don’t know how I got so lucky, but I’m so grateful that out of everybody in this world, I get to be married to you. I get to do life with you. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

We’ve been through a lot together. We’ve had some amazing times, some crazy times, some hard times, and everything in between, but through all of it you’ve always been my person. The one I want next to me.

You know me better than anybody. You’ve seen every side of me and you still love me, support me, believe in me, and put up with my crazy ass 😂

I love our life. I love our adventures. I love laughing with you, traveling with you, dreaming with you, and even doing absolutely nothing with you.

You’re my girl.

Happy birthday, babe.

Here’s to you, to us, and a whole lot more life together. ❤️

I’m not here to tell you how to live your life.

I don’t have 7 steps to success.
I’m not going to give you 5 habits that will finally make you happy.

There are plenty of books, podcasts, and influencers for that.

What I do is different.

I help you discover the life that’s already inside of you.

The life you were created to live.

Because I believe you were created on purpose, with purpose, for a purpose.

But somewhere along the way, life happens.

Expectations.
Disappointment.
Failure.
Success.
Responsibilities.
Other people’s definitions of who you should be.

And eventually, you can wake up living a life that looks successful from the outside while knowing deep down:

There has to be more than this.

My job isn’t to give you my answers.

It’s to ask the questions that help you uncover your God-given identity, purpose, values, gifts, and calling—and then have the courage to actually live from them.

I don’t tell you what life you should live.

I help you discover the life you were always meant to live.

It’s not about becoming someone else.

It’s about uncovering who God created you to be.

If you know there’s more inside of you, but you haven’t been able to name it or live it yet…

Let’s uncover it.

We all hit barriers we can’t break through on our own.

Sometimes you need outside help.

A pastor.
A mentor.
A coach.
A counselor.
A business professional.

I have coaches in my life, and I believe in coaching.

But here’s what I want you to understand:

Being out of shape may not actually be your problem.

It may just be the fruit of the real problem.

You can hire the best fitness coach in the world. Get the perfect macros. Follow the perfect program. Buy the supplements. Make another New Year’s resolution.

But if you never deal with why you stopped taking care of yourself in the first place, eventually you’ll end up right back where you started.

“I’m too old.”

“I don’t have time.”

“This is just who I am now.”

“I’ll start Monday.”

“I’ve tried before. Nothing works.”

Those aren’t just excuses.

Somewhere underneath them may be a lie you’ve started believing about yourself and your life.

And until you get to the root, you’ll keep fighting the fruit.

Sometimes you need someone outside of your life to help you see what you can’t see for yourself.

Yes, get a fitness coach.

But don’t just change your body.

Get to the root of what’s happening in your soul.

Because when you discover who God created you to be and start living from that truth, you’ll begin taking care of yourself from the inside out.

If you’re tired of saying, “I’ll start Monday,” let’s figure out why Monday never comes.

Let’s get your life back.

6:33 MEN 💪

A men’s group built on faith, fitness, and brotherhood. We train. We reflect. We pray. We push each other to grow into stronger men.

Leading this one is @jbhybrid coach, husband, father, and a man who believes real strength is built through faith, family, and fitness.

📅 Saturday, August 15, 2026

⏰ 6:33 AM — check-in at 6:15 AM

📍 Lakeway City Park
502 Hurst Creek Rd
Lakeway, TX 78734

No gym. No setup. Just show up and get to work — we’ll be jumping in the lake, so bring clothes/shorts you don’t mind getting wet, a towel, and water.

Any man. Any age. Any fitness level. Any stage of faith. Come as you are — but don’t stay the same.

Not local? Come anyway if you can — or let this be the push to start your own 6:33 crew wherever you’re at. This is open to any man who’s in, not just Lakeway.

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” — Matthew 6:33

Going? DM me “633” and I’ll add you to the list.

SEEK FIRST. TRAIN HARD. STAY TOGETHER.

Five steps to fix your marriage. Ten habits of highly effective men. Wake up at 4:45, cold plunge, journal, grind.

We live in a self-help culture — and somewhere along the way we started treating it like the whole gospel. Fix yourself. Optimize yourself. Save yourself.

Jesus looked at that and said the quiet part out loud:

“Self-help is no help at all.” (Matthew 16:25, MSG)

He’s not anti-effort. He’s anti-self-reliance. Most of us have been trying to be our own savior and calling it discipline.

Where have you been quietly trying to save yourself?

Daddy-daughter date before work this morning. A little surfing, a lot of laughing, water was perfect.

This is the stuff. Not the meetings. Not the to-do list. This.

I talk a lot on this page about men reclaiming purpose — but purpose isn’t just the big mission. It’s showing up for the small mornings too. The ones nobody applauds. The ones that actually build the life you say you want.

Blink and it’s gone. Don’t miss it chasing something that matters less.

What’s one small moment with your family you almost let slip by this week?
