Virtual theater doesn’t have to mean simply watching a play on a screen. In WITNESS, clicking JOIN meant entering the story.

Created through Arlekin’s zero-G Virtual Theater Lab in 2022 during the pandemic, WITNESS turned spectators into passengers aboard a digital ship — the MS St. Louis.

Technology wasn’t simply part of the spectacle. It was the way inside it, the way inside history.

Send this to someone who would have clicked JOIN.

Hello there!! I wanted to connect on behalf of @gnarcytribe. We've got some seriously rad jewelry lined up, and I reckon you'd be the best match to rock our latest collection of masculine accessories!

If you dig it, we'd love to hook you up with three pieces on the house! Yup, you read that right – totally FREE!

Just shoot a DM over to our main account @gnarcytribe (if you dont see a DM button, just reply to any of their stories), and our guy Shawn will sort you out pronto! But hey, don't sleep on it – spots are filling up fast, and we'd hate for you to miss out on the action! Cheers, mate! 🤙

For all those who are passionate about the Arts and recognize its ability to inspire, unite and heal.

Then this project is an amazing opportunity for you to get involved and invest in the arts and the artists involved.

Our aim is to raise enough funds and support to host live events where these artists and production team can generate incomes to meet the overleming needs as a really of COVID-19 lock down.

Counting down to next weeks reveal where we get UP CLOSE with some of Cape Town’s amazing upcoming Artists enrolled with ArtWorks.

Next week Tuesday, we will be rolling out a series of intro videos giving you access to some of the Artists that we have the honour to mentor and develop here at ArtWoks.

The aim for these videos is to:

Introduce you to the amazing talents that ArtWorks has the honour to work with.

To use virtual platforms and social media to create a performance space for our Artists to comply with CIVID -19 restrictions.

We want to create opportunities for our artists to generate some income even during lock down since all Arts based events have been cancelled due to COVID-19.

To open up opportunities for possible collaborations and partnerships with other Artists, arts based projects, organisations, companies and so forth.

Be on the lookout!

Last year we witnessed two of our Artists’ worlds turned around for good. Thulani and Alutha from Khayelitsha saw a dream, so impossible to them, come alive.
They received an opportunity to study at Berklee College of Music in America, on their Aspire 5 Weeks Music Program that ran from rom July 2019. They grabbed onto this opportunity with both hands.
After an intense application process and strict auditions, Alutha and Thulani were on their way to the US.
Now this dream would not have been possible without the help of a number of people who donated towards what looked like just a project, but to these young adults, a life changing experience.
A big thanks to everyone for making this possible and a special thanks to the Berklee Global initiatives for their passion to see international artists equipped!
